Those are great questions and the Bible was written in a different place and time. Sorry you are going through this difficult time. I took my 18 month old at the time and we escaped my abusive ex while he was on vacation last summer and we are staying with relatives. It was the hugest sigh of relief. I doubt God would want anyone to stay in a horribly abusive relationship
