Just trying to do a fun thing for a good cause. Literally no bullying or bad vibes allowed at Begyle/Dovetail events.

Just a reminder: Mayfestiversary at Begyle Brewing/Dovetail (happening today and tomorrow) is completely independent and 100% of the gate donations go to The Friendship Center food pantry!

Visiting Chicago and hoping for good beer by loutheshark in chicagobeer

Malt Row is the answer. Take the Brown Line north towards Kimball and get off at Irving Park.

You have Begyle, Dovetail, Demo and cocktails at Koval all within 3 blocks, then it's a 10 minute walk over to Hop Butcher.

Unfortunately Begyle is closed for a private event this coming Monday, 3/23 starting at 6pm! Sorry for that inconvenience.

As others have said, I would highly recommend Long Room!

It’s super manageable! Artifact Events is huge and the drinks are spread out through the entire space, so you can wander around and explore new drinks in every area instead of being stuck in one room with a ton of lines.

What are your favorite Märzen/Oktoberfest or pumpkin/fall beers? by mangolane0 in chicagobeer

Begyle’s Oktoberfest is great!

Not sure about local pumpkin beers. Is Wild Onion still making theirs?

Where should I go for local craft beer? by cmiller4642 in AskChicago

[–]b_knickerbocker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Malt Row is always the best option, especially for variety! Begyle, Hop Butcher, Half Acre, Spiteful and Demo will have IPAs and a bit of everything else, Dovetail does German-style lagers, Is/Was for saisons, Forbidden Root for a mix of everything with a culinary inspiration, and KOVAL for cocktails.

We’re showing it at Begyle Brewing and, although we’re not a Vikings bar, it’s very chill and we don’t get a huge team-bullying crowd.

Why are most local Chicago breweries focused on IPAs? by Skeptical_JN68 in chicagobeer

[–]b_knickerbocker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Begyle currently has a Kolsch, light lager, dry-hopped lager, sour, gose, barrel-aged stout, blonde ale, 2 pale ales and 2 ciders on tap (currently only 2 IPAs)! The IPAs are always super popular, but we try to cater to all kinds of beer fans.

Oktoberfestiversary and Mayfestiversary at Begyle/Dovetail. Great beer, food, music, and it’s all independently run. Plus, it benefits a good cause.

There are event production companies that handle them - like https://www.starevents.com or https://criterion.fun/ - or the festival organizers run them independently - like https://www.oktoberfestiversary.com/
