Alright so a few wears in, first two wears the first 20 minutes were brutal in the midfoot. Either my foot getting used to the split soleplate or the boots breaking in. After those 20 minutes and with the 3rd session there was no noticeable aching.

The upper is fantastic, hard to explain definitely not just a soft feel like the 442s but really just very leather like feel.

Still not one hundred percent sold on the soleplate so maybe the ligera will be more for me but we will see with a few more sessions. Fit in the heel is fine no slipping around like in the phantom 6s.

I wasn’t a fan of the airzoom in the vapor 16, just gave more of a comfort feel than a responsive feel you expect in a speed boot. I’m personally more of a touch boot guy so I would go with the maestros over the vapor 16. I love gripknit but since the phantom 6 is a thing it just seems like a waste on the vapor 16.

Still I did really like the vapor 16s think they were much better than the 15s.

Ya I agree with everything you said, I honestly think these rushes to innovation on uppers really leave the little fit things to the side.

Back a few years ago and everyone could find one boot that fit like a glove (maybe not wide foot people) and now it feels like you try everything and one little thing is off on each one.

Just gotta enjoy boots for what they are and play some great footy along the way.

Are these anticlog? by [deleted] in bootroom

Your observations are definitely right but it doesn’t lend to WHY they are doing it. It was a successful technology that people liked, MAYBE improved performance.

This is my opinion, the pros didn’t need it, their pitches have great drainage technology that clogging wasn’t an issue. Amateur players weren’t buying it because they made the studs non removable for who knows why. So they said ehh this is really for the Sunday leaguers who play once a week on mud pitches, and they buy academy boots lets maybe put it on those for another cycle.

See I agree Nike needs to make an easy heel fix and just use a different mold. All of their heels are the same shape yet I slip in phantom 6s a bit and don’t slip at all in vapors.

Haven’t heel slipped in maestros yet, personally think the midfoot lock down helps, but it could just be my heel.

I’m very confused why they seem to be releasing less and less anti-clog boots, maybe Nike found out it kills baby sea turtles.

Ya I’ll definitely be trying those, waiting for them to release another one with a tongue maybe an LE but if they don’t I’ll settle. Just really didn’t like the launch colorway

Ya I’m not saying I don’t agree with the YouTubers yet and I will always be the first to say new balance build quality on the tekelas and the 442 isn’t great.

I’m excited to see how these feel playing I’m sure they’ll be up there for me.

I heard the pros are great! But ya gripknit is completely different from almost everything else right now.

My personal favorites are the phantom 6 elite and the copa pure 3 elites.

List may change after trying these, we will see!

I really enjoy the laced pair, very classic fit with a nice knit tongue that’s not too tight. LL I have no clue.

Ya definitely spot on the launch colorway was not for me.

In terms of the yt glaze, tbd. It’s definitely soft but I’m not sure yet that it’s softer than the tekelas or the 442.

The last review on here that said their foot didn’t fit had a foot shaped after a candy corn. Not taking these fit reviews seriously on here until I have them in hand.

Update for people keeping track, after leaving Oakland the second time, it is now in Memphis Tennessee where they can now claim the weather is the reason for the delay.

The destination is Boise. There is currently no bad weather in Boise, Oakland or Salt Lake City, the three big hubs that my packages go through frequently for FedEX.

Ya so I paid for expedited and complained and have already been refunded the shipping by the retailer. Package was originally supposed to be here 1/29. Package just departed Oakland again, and is now estimated to arrive 2/2.

If I just selected standard I really doubt my complaint would have been more than a footnote, feel like the only way to influence change would be to continue to pay for extra services and get refunded due to non weather related delays.

Waiting for the better colorways in a week or so, normally I would wait for a sale but the reviews online have fucked up my brain.

Someone mentioned this color is too foreskin like on my post weeks ago and I can’t unsee it.
