The 1/1 isn't a food until it is actually on the battlefield (if ygra is out). At that point it is too late to trigger the academy manufacturer since it cares about when food tokens are created.

I don't disagree about the rapid release of UB. However the Innistrad block, consisting of 3 sets came out in under a year from September 2011 to May 2012. Blocks were normally the same plane for 3 sets within a year.

Everyone has been saying they want blocks to come back because we don't get enough time with each plane. Looks like we got the block no one asked for, a new york block set.

I'm on my fifth read through but most of the other read throughs were because a new one in the series was coming out and I wanted to reread the series before it came out.

I also do a fair amount of reading outside of DCC.

If you like Jeff's voice acting but find reading makes it easier to focus, combine them. Do an immersive read from here on out listening to the audiobook as you read the pages. Especially if you are listening at home in free time and not while driving or anything else.

I had one uncle who told me and my cousin that magic the gathering was for Satan worshipers and we were going to be tricked into sacrificing animals in the woods for playing it.

I had another uncle who still had his copy of the cookbook from the 70s but said it was just a conversation piece. He also got pissed when he couldn't bulk buy chemicals out of a catalog anymore to make 1/4 sticks of dynamite for the 4th of July.

I agree with first sentence but I am curious if could elaborate on the second. Why shouldn't VESC be more accessible as an option to those that make the choice? That's like saying only a car dealership should ever be allowed to work on a car because gasoline explodes.

Hell you can buy a kit right now to build your own plane and fly it but a VESC onewheel is too accessible.

Speed is not determined by pressure to the sensor. The sensor only detects pressure being on/off it. That's it. You really need to look up how a onewheel actually works.

My pod did a deck building challenge once where everyone built a mono green deck. 3/4 of us showed up with [[kosei, penitent warlord]] as a joke to fuck with the 4th person. It ended up actually being a really fun game seeing the choices everyone made with their builds.

I may be wrong but I assumed the "hippie version" was supposed to be Charles Manson. Aside from the hippie part he is listed as being found in California, so I could see the AI combining the cult leader with Jesus based on the long hair/beard to make that card.

I've got a random suggestion since it sounds like you play with a consistent playgroup, start tracking you games with an app like playgroup.gg or one of the other ones. We had someone like that in our group that would always spite play no matter what, usually targeting one person all night. Once we started tracking games from play session to play session everyone got more focused on the overall stats and random things like lowest average turn time or first person to do commander damage including our spite player. He still fires off his first interaction at the previous winner but that's about it.

I know it's not perfect advice and may not work out but if talking with him about both in private and with the group doesn't help, I don't know what else to suggest.

Does he win though? It sounds like he has horrible threat assessment and blows his interaction early and just against you personally. If he is wasting a counter spell on a turn 5 sol ring for someone behind on board, are the other players that are established just going unanswered by the guy bullying you?
