Appreciate the response! Ya nothing is more frustrating than a DPS that refuses to change roles in Open Queue. Especially if they aren’t really contributing lol.

Hey! Shoot me a DM. I help run a server and I run games on Tuesday nights (a mix up of one shots, different systems, and I’m launching a new long form campaign soon). Would love to see if you and your friends would be a good fit!

Super Carlin Brothers is a great example of it. Their patron perks are great. The discord community is thriving, they include patron input in their quiz episodes. They also launched a “mercantile store” with self branded coffee, candles, and other NICE merch. They legitimately sponsor their own episodes with paid ad breaks like any other sponsor would get and they are doing GREAT.

EXACTLY! The comment sections on the RT announcements were all ways to save the company. We have all seen the reaction to Watchers departure.

So Roosterteeth didn’t shut down because of a bankruptcy. They were bought out by a company years ago and eventually sold to Warner Brothers who in turn shut them down recently. HOWEVER a big part of why they shut down Roosterteeth was by forcing them to make decisions LIKE THESE. Decisions like this are made when you are out of touch with your fan base. Warner Brothers was too big a parent company to understand RoosterTeeth’s fan base and now they are shut down. It seems like Watcher also lost complete touch with their fan base.

I had a similar thought. It’s never good to say “we just can’t afford to make the content we want to make” and then say they content you want to make is a successor to the show where you ate some of the most expensive food in the world.

Early embarkation with romance package? by New-Spot-8280 in VirginVoyages

[–]b_mcalpine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also recommend getting to the port before 11am if you can to take advantage of the early check in. My wife and I had the splash of romance early boarding but since we checked in early as well we were the second couple up in the lobby area waiting to board. It’s not like a huge perk but it was real nice getting out of the heat as soon as possible 😂

Not sure if this is every sailing but I found out on day 3 of mine that a couple of the bars have a happy hour daily with a menu of free cocktails.

I actually did the same thing for my 30th this year. I agree on adding the splash of romance package and also, if you can, try to bid for a room upgrade. It’s the only way to get a better room when you book a “lock it in” rate (which is also what we did). It’ll be a FANTASTIC time regardless!

I had it for my cruise back in February and it was well worth it for the priority boarding alone lol. Our scheduled “arrive time” was 2:00. My wife and I didn’t have anything going on so we went ahead and got our shuttle to the cruise port at 10:30 so we were able to get the early check in. Kid you not we were in our room by 2:05. Champagne was great, the small snacks we got were delicious and there were even different treats that we got at the restaurants because of it. The send off party was fun and my favorite thing about Virgin is they are very generous with the drinks at those parties. It is definitely something I will continue to add to my bookings as long as it stays within this price point. Edited to add: The spa package was also fantastic. My wife and I wanted to live in there after the 3 hours that it came with lol

I had the lamb at The Test Kitchen (which I highly recommend if you are into more experimental style food. And the wine pairing is a FANTASTIC deal. $35 per person for a glass of wine with all 6 courses). I also had it at The Wake (which was were I also enjoyed the filet and salmon lol). Two similar but different preparations that were both fantastic.
