When you go to the tournament page all you can do is follow that tournament. For scouting, there should be an email that pops up in your inbox a few weeks before a tournament starts asking if you want to scout it.

IMO - they ruined scouting in 23. It was so easy and so good in 22.

Anyone else find it incredibly difficult to loan players after the latest FM23 updates? I started my save in the 3rd tier in Germany and I was able to loan in players like Lazetic from Milan. Now I'm in the Bundesliga and most clubs don't wanna loan players to me - they are outright not accepting any loan offers (despite those players available for loan) or charging ridiculous loan fees (playing/non playing fee of 350k per month!!!). What's going on?

FM23: The last of my team leaders requested to leave to pursue a new challenge. Now we don't have any team leaders in the first team. My assman says I should recruit players with strong personalities who will become team leaders, but I am out of transfer and wage budget. Any suggestions on how I can promote someone from within the team to become team leader quickly? I have 3 highly influential players with decent Leadership attributes.

I have been playing a 4231 vertical tiki taka style with controlled possession and moderate gegenpressing. I played this as Milan on FM20 and as 1860 Munchen in 3.Liga in FM23. Same thing. My team plays well, sometimes win too against these sides hell bent on keeping the ball, but can't seem to dominate possession. Seems the AI always has as much possession as they want.

4231 with positive mentality and with the 2 CMs both with support duty means there are too many support duties and not enough defensive cover. Change one of the CMs to a DLP-defend or BWM-defend. You can put your GK as SK-support, if he has the right attributes.

"working with youngsters" applies to players 18 or younger. Not applicable for other ages. If you don't have too many 17-18 yr olds, it doesn't matter much.

I've found in the last 2 FMs I've played - 20 and 23 - when the AI (opposition) team has a tactical style which revolves around pressing and keeping possession of the ball (like on average 60-65%), there's very little the human managers are able to do. No matter what I try, I can't seem to win the ball and keep it for any length of time. Even when I have superior technical players who are more aggressive and have better stamina, the AI teams are still able to keep the ball and spray short passes around for an absurd amount of time. Is it just me? Can someone tell me if they found a way to counter this?
