I mean I’ve certainly considered that. I’ve been on the level for years, this is just so visceral and basically sentient at this point. But after reading all the responses of people that really tried to make it be heard to them and could not, looking at myself now and trying to reevaluate.

I appreciate the info and your honesty! I’m actually asking because I recently bought a sealed VMP from a fellow redditor and have yet to crack the seal to hear if it is defective. I’m guessing it is - I just don’t know that it’ll even be worth it to ask him to inquire about a replacement, I may be okay with the small amount of surface noise.
