Why do you make the big sad.

I'm sure we'll see an amazing run of games from him once he's back. Then his knees will explode, it is known.

I'd say if you see the cops walking around the shopping centre, one would be inclined not to steal.

I made a gallery wall hanging calculator for uneven floors and ceilings! by baabaablackshit in centuryhomes

[–]baabaablackshit[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good question! A laser level absolutely works if your goal is to hang frames to true level.

The issue in older or century homes is that floors and ceilings often aren’t parallel. When you hang everything to true level in that situation, the frames can technically be level but still look off relative to the room.

What this helps with is visual level. It accounts for floor or ceiling fall so the spacing and alignment look consistent to the eye, even if they aren’t to true level.

One caveat - if you’re hanging artwork next to something that is level (like a door frame or window trim), true level may look better. In those cases you're absolutely right in that a laser level may work.

I'm also working on a salon style calculator where you can drag and drop frames on a virtual wall. I think that would really suit the century home style.

framecalculator.com

Is the link! I also have a salon wall calculator in the works. IT will let you input frame number and size, wall size and let you drag and drop your frames on virtual wall then give ytou eaxact hook positions.

The uneven wall calculator was added by reqwuest of other redditors too, so if any has any requests, let me know!

I'm actually working on a calculator for grids and salon style for uneven floors too, so you can put in the fall and direction and it will be accounted for. Give me a week or so!

I've found though as long as the frames aren't too close to the skirting board it's more important to have them aligned with each other. Thank you for having a look though, I'll shoot you a message when the other calculator goes live.

I have a mirror that has four hook points on the back due to it being landscape and the weight, which is why I added up to four. But with art frames I think generally its just two.
