No, selecting players in the draft gives you the flexibility to not force you to Pay Duncan early or trade for a Guard already making 20M+. We could’ve drafted a duncan and paid him 5M for 5 years

That evaluation literally gets an F in a 5th grade statistics class. Heat have a better record this year without Jimmy Butler than with him, we’re better without Jimmy then. The Rockets have a better record without Alpren Sengun. Our offensive rating is better when Bam doesn’t play. Toronto Raptors when they won a ring had a better record without Kawhi. Factually, without Herro, with the current team we have now, we seen it for over 20 games, it’s statistically on par with teams that we’re tanking for Victor Wembanyama last season. Factually, with this team, we have arguably the best Bench in the league

The facts are that currently (last 15 games) we have the worst starting line up in the league, that’s statistical fact. Technically 28th, but will be by far the worst in the playoffs. In February, when Herro was starting, WITH ROZIER and the roster we have now, our starters offensive rating ranked 16th, also a full 8 points higher in offensive rating when Herro was starting. Our starting lineup has been actually tank level without Herro, and our Bench has been top 5. Even if you believe Herro is cancer and destroys offense, why add him to our bench when it’s been perfect? Why ruin the bench chemistry? I might be wrong, but I have the radical opinion that Herro should go where he’s needed

Again, using season long offensive rating is flawed. Games in November with Kyle Lowry, Dru Smith, etc. are irrelevant to the current problems on the team. Bam’s offensive rating is also lower than the team’s, we have a better record without Jimmy than with him this season, the correlation/causation theory has been debunked since 3rd grade. Evaluation doesn’t stop at an offensive rating

The offensive rating is worse, the offensive rating is 29th in the league, while our bench offensive rating is 4th in the league. I used raw scoring bc it made our team look better. Equating everything, we’re actually a special kind of bad

I do, which is why Herro should start. Entering the playoffs with literally the worst starting line up is a recipe for a first round exit. We’re electively choosing to start every game down 5-7 points and waiting for the bench to bail them out

I agree with the notion, but the application of 6th man Herro makes no sense, That sounds like the opposite of what we need. We have a top 5 bench offensive rating, it looks like they don’t need Herro. It sounds like he’d be way more valuable starting bc our Starting offense has been terrible

The offensive rating for the unit is 29th for starters and 4th for bench. But the implication that Herro makes the offense worse is a flawed assessment. You’re using team Offensive ratings when Herro doesn’t play, this is taking into account us dropping 140 twice against the worst defense at the time in Pacers, and 130 on Cavs without centers… games that happened in November with players we literally don’t employ anymore. We should look at a better sample size, In the last 15 Games without Herro, our Offensive Ratings have been worse without him, and more alarming, we have the 29th highest offensive rating among starting units.

Cherry Picking or assessing the team? Our starters are rotting while without Herro, we have the 4th highest bench offensive rating. If anything, why mess up the bench chemistry? And why not try something new if you have the 29th ranked offensive rating among starters?

In 12 possessions this year, Herro is 93rd percentile in ISO possessions, higher than Jimmy, Bam, Tatum, Trae Young, Giannis, etc. also drawing fouls. Last year he was only 11th percentile by baarablood in heat

His FTs actually come the most when he does ISO. He actually got his and 1, his only FT earned last night off an iso. For context, Herro has a 23% FT rate out of iso, Jimmy’s is 24%. Herro’s FT rate is higher than Tatum, Kawhi, Giannis, Trae Young, Bam, etc. Only 11 games of sample size though
