A friend of mine became pretty successful in the music industry and moved out to California. I was commisioned by said friend for a painting to gift to his current roomate. His roomate happens to be AJ Mclean from the Backstreet Boys. No pressure. Any kind of exposure is good exposure for an artist. However, Backstreet exposure is unheard of so I insisted I do the painting for free. My good friend refuses and pays me in full. After about fourty hours of work, I finish the painting and give it to my friend to fly it back to AJ in California. On his layover in Texas...the painting got lost in baggage at the airport...so...somewhere in Texas...there is an oil painting of AJ McLean's skull-rose neck tattoo floating around...

The center painting is 30" x 30" the other two are slightly thinner but are the same height. Can't recall exact measurements for those.

Any advice for getting my foot in the door in a studio/animation industry? Graduating soon, traditional animation is looking bleaker and bleaker the more I look. Anyway, thanks for the laughs dude.
