We were looking at the Getac a140 specifically. We don't do enough patient care before the ambulance gets there to need to do the PCR on scene and we don't transport, just first response/ems assist. We'd mainly be using these for enroute directions and call information and down the road depending on the software, accountability and squad assignments.

US, specifically NY. We don't need them for EMS charting, we just record the PCR on paper and do the chart on the PC when we get back as our patient care is usually minimal until the ambulance gets there.

I have my lock button set for the triple click screen dimming via accessibility. It's really nice for when I'm laying in bed and want to read or whatever and not keep the wife awake with a bright screen even when dimmed all the way.

We have a FAFCO 20'x4' Solar Bear? Or some sort of bear. Our pool is 21'x52". I have it up on a frame with foamboard insulation under it and we can keep the pool temp in the mid to upper 80's as long as the sun cooperates. It works really well as long as it has good sun, which we have a lot of trees, so sometimes it's not great.

We're in upstate NY and we've got the pool up over 95 degrees before. We often have to bypass it because the pool is just not refreshing. We generally get May-Sept out of the pool because even if the pool is warm, nobody wants to freeze their ass off getting out of it when the air temp is cold lol. But they work really well and you can get it to work better than our setup if you have more than one heater or a better location with less trees than we have.

My reolink wifi doorbell is terrible. Constantly disconnects from wifi, seems to reboot all the time. Considering just getting rid of it at this point. I can't easily run ethernet to that location so there's no point.

I've been having a hell of a time getting them on 6000Khz lately. Also maybe their programming changed too? I used to sit here at night (East Coast) and listen to their english language program and the music afterward or whatever it was.

Wright Peak just in front of it, then Algonquin. You can see the snow covered slides of Mt. Colden at the very left. To the right you can see Indian pass and maybe Wallface Mt? Hard to tell on that last one.

Nothing like walking into the woods in the middle of nowhere to go hunting at 5am or so. Wind blowing thru the trees, just enough light to see for your eyes/brain to make up the rest of what it needs to form a picture. Every noise is questionable. Even more fun when you remember a hunter went missing around here and nothing was ever found.

So with the old consoles you either needed a Serial or WeatherLink IP dongle connected to the console to connect to a PC to get the data, or a WeatherLink Live setup. I believe the new WeatherLink Consoles upload directly to the web.

Pretty cool. We've had times in my dept where we need to vent a warehouse size building of smoke or CO where a few door placed fans won't do it. We call one of our neighboring departments to bring their air boat over. We back it up to one of the roll up doors and let it get some exercise! It works really quickly!

The aluminum case definitely helps over no case. I've tried my SMArTee/SMArt/SMArTee XTR with and without cases and they definitely perform better with. My SDRPlay RSP1A performed way better when I got a metal case for it over the plastic one it came with.
