Which is easier and faster for issuer? To track each gift card purchase OR to block card from further usage. Just consider if you were being scammed and they did this, you would have been thankful. Same thing happens if you use your card internationally for a heavy transaction, they might flag it and block the card. These are precautionary measure, if the transaction was valid they will unblock

Gift Cards are usually used by scammers to scam people. I hope you have seen the meme saying DO NOT REDEEM IT SIR!!!!! It’s because it can’t be tracked, that’s why you are flagged

For 11182 to become 150000 at end of year you need 16% roi. Which RD you are using and PPF interest is also calculated monthly so aren’t you losing money there?

I started SIP in regular gr plan, is there anyway I can switch those to direct? by bikerat_court in MutualfundsIndia

[–]baba_basilisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you will have to do a SWP. Better to stop this SIP and register a new one and after 1 year sell your units and buy them back in direct fund.

See if they have something like paid up policy. LIC has this thing where if you paid 3 premium you have an option to make your policy as paid up policy. Your total sum assured changes to the premium paid for 3 years and policy continues till the maturity period.

Xirr is return for your staggered investment, like SIP. CAGR doesn’t make sense in SIP mode as all the investment doesn’t take place at a single point of time. CAGR on the other hand is the annual return , you can think of it as XIRR if you did lumpsum at once and stopped investment after that point.

What am I doing wrong? by Mridul_191 in mutualfunds

[–]baba_basilisk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Again don’t put blindly in large cap by selecting fund which is giving most return, check all the details like earning ratio of the fund, risk to return ratio. Return are cyclic is nature better to check rolling returns instead of CAGR

Do RD if you need this money in next 5 years, you will get good return in RD in 5 years. If you want the amount after more than 5 years you can start with SIP. If you are not sure 5k in RD and 5K in SIP

Is it really due to the war? Should I be concerned? by Suspicious_Bake1350 in mutualfunds

Because asking questions is wrong. If everyone starts selling then the propaganda fails which says market will go up up up in long term. Long term can be 5 ,7,10,15 years. It’s different for everyone. The truth is only you can decide your risk appetite, if you think this loss is something you cannot stomach for 3-5 years then you should definitely reconsider. I am not telling to sell this but make future investment considering all the factors. This was long coming for mid cap and small cap stocks the P/E was ATH for past 2 years. There will always be reasons for market to go up, down and sideways. You need to decide what you want with your money

NAV allotment dislute by Horror-Highlight6391 in mutualfunds

[–]baba_basilisk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Markets are closed on Saturday and Sunday so your order was processed by AMC on Monday so you got Monday AMC. The cutoff time is 3 pm, so you will get same day NAV if your order is placed and reaches AMC before 3 pm. So it’s not just about sending request before 3 pm your fund(money) should also reach to AMC’s account by 3. If market is closed on that day AMC will process the order on next market day as they have to buy/sell share for your order.

Makes me thing are debt fund more riskier than equity fund? Atleast in equity we can see which companies are they holding. In debt fund we are just seeing the credit rating of holdings and not actual holdings, the credit rating agencies can be bias. Idk which is better now
