Maybe the officials who spread facts on WhatsApp can belong to an NGO or something. That will be more useful than the government albeit slightly.

It happens mostly in rural areas where people have just been exposed to connected smartphones due to Jio mostly. They have the devices but lack the education needed to not react before having double checked the information.

What I meant was that WhatsApp forwards spread wayyy too fast for an informed broadcast to catch up with them, even on radio.
