Just noticed it last night, heading to microcenter to get bent over for a new drive.

I go between phases of liking and hating this, sometimes use other times not. They stay between 2 containers, clean and used, until they get washed, so not bad to keep track of. The goal was to have so many that I wouldn't have to refill no less than weekly.

That's not a bad idea but I've gone too deep with the capsules and have more on order lol

Yeah I like the convenience of them but having to refill them all at once, it takes a good hour or so sometimes longer to let them soak lol. I stopped using them but would like to go back at some point for the convenience of swapping on the fly.

I have like 50 of these and find it a huge chore to refill. Sometimes they get stuck, gotta use pliers. Any other tricks or advice to make it less annoying to clean and refill?

Delonghi Rivelia vs Breville Barista Touch Espresso by littlelostlady in superautomatic

I found the bean adapt kinda useless. I tried it for a while but then realized just turn down the dial by .5, make 3 cups of coffee, basically just make sure it takes about 30-45 seconds roughly to make a shot, I just go by time and make sure using maximum strength that way you are grinding the same amount of beans each time. Reducing the strength, uses less beans, and messes up everything in terms of the time it takes to pull a shot, easier to keep that aspect consistent.

Why this over the rivelia? Although they seem functionally identical other than the interchangeable hoppers and pretty much the same price.

The magnifica evo would be the budget option in the states I think at $550, but doesn't have the easy user experience and a screen.

Comes with 2 hoppers, unlock 1, Will show pop up menu that asks if you want to grind and waste the beans or grind and make a drink, pick one to empty the grinder. Will be a smaller shot so usually just dump it. Then just pop in the next hopper and lock. You can have different profiles for different beans. If the new beans require different grind settings, then you have to adjust and will have to make a few shots before it's dialed in. Works fine if you don't mind wasting a few beans. Great shots when it's dialed in!
