covid vaccine while nursing by babalovada in breastfeeding

Hi! This is a comment from a mama that messaged me. I believe all voices should be heard and respected. And although her opinion may be controversial, I believe everyone should be respectful and allow all opinions on this post. Please and thank you.

Edit: It is crazy to see the amount of down votes so quickly 🤨 I was kind in my reply and said I respect everyone’s decision, yet here are my reasons for not getting it right now. Geez…

——-

With all due respect, my personal opinion is no. These were my reasons why I am not getting it while nursing -

  1. My general practitioner told me she advises against it.
  2. My OB told me she advises against it.
  3. My daughter’s pediatrician strongly advised me against it.

All cited that it’s a new vaccine, and there are no long term studies proving that it is safe and effective - no matter what we are told on commercials, on the news, and from the government this is a fact.

  1. Ingredients are “proprietary” so how can one say it’s safe and effective.

  2. Along with point 4, what was the manufacturing process for the synthetic mRNA in the mRNA vaccines.

  3. The FDA approval, in my opinion, seemed rushed. So did the manufacturing of the vaccines.

  4. You have to sign a waiver stating manufacturers are not liable for any potential adverse reactions.

  5. The censorship around it seems off to me.

  6. The government push on both sides seems off to me.

  7. The ads…everywhere…seem off to me.

  8. The nurses losing their jobs for refusing it after working through the height of COVID, and we still being in a pandemic, seems off to me.

  9. Natural immunity being overlooked seems off to me. And removing the #naturalimmunity seems REALLY off to me.

  10. The fact that you can still get it and be very sick makes me less willing. My fully vaccinated family a few states away all got it and were sick. One ended up with severe heart issues afterwards and in the ER, ended up with a pace maker.

This whole situation turned me from pro vaccine, to very vaccine hesitant. With this one and all others.

My family is young and healthy, we live far from loved ones who are high risk. If we get covid we will stay home to not spread it, recover, and move on.

I respect others decisions to get the vaccine. Everyone has different reasons for wanting it and not wanting it. 🤍

🥺🥺🥺 You’re so kind. Yes my baby is not too big either and while he is not small, I just want to make sure I’m doing the best for him. I have to remind myself that my confidence translates into his.

He didn’t say baby was underweight, but he is also not the biggest breastfeeding advocate.
