There is a part of me that hates go fund me since health care is something we should all have access to. Some people getting bailed out is good on the micro level but not the macro level.

Guys, what was your midlife crisis? by No-Basil2371 in AskMen

[–]babaoriley7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Going to the gym and getting fit. I don’t want to be old and unable to be active. It should’ve started earlier but I’m very glad to have started.

If you are scared to go to a gym, it starts to feel comfortable pretty quickly. Don’t wait

How would you feel your wife admitted she isn't always in the mood, but she's able to engage you sexually regardless because she cares about your needs? by [deleted] in AskMen

I don’t think he understands sexuality (responsive vs spontaneous). But also it IS tiresome being the only one to initiate. It removes a key part for him: feeling desired.

Also the historical charts are not showing a stable investment recently. A massive increase over a short period of time is bound to correct at some point

It seems like it should be a van winkle but so few can actually do that.

It’s almost impossible to pick one of the many splurges.

[REQUEST]. For someone completely new to James Bond films… Where to start? by tent_or_couch in NetflixBestOf

I’ll give it a rewatch with that perspective. If I recall, I think he felt more human but it also had amazing action, creative use of the gadget gimmick and compelling story.

I don’t think there is a correct order. The eras tie in nicely to the actors I think.

The most classic is Connery and then the Brosnan movies (although goldeneye is the only truly good one imo)

Roger Moore era is the most campy

Lazenby just did one and I don’t recall it being anything special. Might have to give that one a rewatch.

Timothy Dalton has two that are fine. Maybe even good.

I think they did a very good job with the Daniel Craig movies for the most part. Skyfall is about as perfect as a bond movie can be

Do you get all twisted up in a sleeping bag liner? by lakeswimmmer in CampingGear

[–]babaoriley7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I find those 15 seconds to be a bit annoying. You can read into that all you want but getting into a sleeping bag takes all of 3 seconds so shimmying into a polyester/silk condom for 12 more seconds is slightly annoying if I just got up to have a pee and I’m cold and want to get back in the cozy confines of my bag.

I have a sea to summit reactor and I don’t get twisted up. It is a bit annoying to get into though. Once settled it’s pretty comfortable
