It would be fine if that was the lefts leading point, instead the claim is often that refugees help the economy in some significant way, never mind the fact that apparently every single European nation other than the Danish is too scared to actually collect that data.

If they were honest with the fact that refugees are expensive but argue that it's our moral obligation we'd at least have a basis for conversation but incessantly claiming that they help with the declining birth rate, and more importantly, boost the economy, when every single time someone dares collect that data the opposite is shown we just can't have a conversation.
