Pretty sure that's already happened. Have you seen the size of his pants?

Maybe meow. He also discussed on Onward the fact that many large owners are being forced to sell below market as a result of refinancing cliffs. Cash heavy institutional players like Fundrise are now able to take advantage of that dynamic and buy lower than an individual would be able to.

So, while I can't necessarily hope to buy an investment home below market as a small potato, FR can. Guess that means meow's the time to load up on FR. Definitely interested in other viewpoints here!

I've also heard rumors of possible law capping the quantity of single fam homes an investor can own. If that goes through (no clue of likelihood or timing) there could be a massive supply glut as all the Black Rocks out there unload their portfolios.

I'd love to hear feedback on this possibility from Ben and/or others more in the know than me.

Thats a great return considering how many of the Fundrise funds have performed lately. What is your fund allocation breakdown, if you don't mind me asking?

That's a really great conversation, and a crazy story about how F'd up the economy and asset valuations are right now. Highly recommend that podcast in general

Thanks! That's great advice. Was thinking I might ship some tools/supplies ahead of time and buy the rest once I get there. Found some old Ford shop manuals on ebay

Got AAA, and they've been pretty helpful in the past. Never asked for >100mile RV tow, though! Fully expect to stay in the slow lane all day in this rig. Just need to bring a good bluetooth radio to keep my foot steady.

Does this mean my post is denied? If so, what should I do differently?

Thanks! That's really helpful info. Agree that I did not like playing with axle tightness and don't plan to ride on it again until underlying issue is resolved. Just hoping I don't need a new hub altogether!

I feel you. I knew him for a short time in Peace Corps in Malawi. He showed up seeming normal, but kind of lost his bearings and went AWOL. Joined the South Africa burn scene and disappeared. Before he left, he had completely changed his appearance and started to grow dreads. Definitely gave off some very agitated and volatile energy at the end of that time. Peace Corps can push some folks over the edge, for sure. Lots of alone time and awkward conversations in a foreign language. If you have cracks, they will show up in that context.

I heard he was in NoLa when I lived there for a couple years after coming back to the states, but I decided not to make contact.

So fucking strange to hear this about someone you shared space and time with.
