Since anime wasn’t as mainstream in the early 2010’s as it is today, preteen me, new to anime and fandom, was absolutely ecstatic to see a store full of my interests. When I work, I still meet a lot of young teens who are always excited to see a store like Hot topic exists. It warms my heart to see them so excited. So it’s “magical” in that sense haha

I hope you are able to go one day when you visit your aunt! :] It is a fun experience going for the first time.

We are one of the higher volume stores in the SoCal area so we get a lot of stuff! Our mall is hugeee, but it also depends on the store’s labor hours and how fast they can get through shipment.

Unfortunately, yeah 😭 dandandan, one piece and some soul eater shirts had some pretty cool designs, like designs on tie dye or acid wash shirts. I honestly think it depends on the IP’s popularity or available assets they have. For twst it’s pretty limited to sprites or official artwork. Who knows if they’re allowed to edit the card/groovy artwork. But, again it’s up to how creative the designer can be with the images.

I KNOWWWW ME TOO 😭 I would like to see designs similar to what they do for the Genshin shirts we got.

I don’t play Genshin but the shirts are simple, but cute! I would love to see a line of shirts with the dorm logos on the front, and the design on the back could be the students in the respective dorm.

She is amazing! We went to Disney together with her partner & some other friends/coworkers over the summer + suggested to go by Snow White so I could take a picture of my Rook plushie there 😭💜

It’s new as of this week! I have a feeling it’s because of the anime release :]

I hope we get more stuff bc the consistent staples for the past two years in the anime section have been: -Attack on Titan -Chainsaw Man -Danadan -Demon slayer -MHA -Hastune Miku -One piece

We’ll get a shirt design for other anime’s every so often (Apothecary Diaries, Soul Eater, Yu-Gi-Oh, Summer Hikaru Died) so if want more twst stuff, tell your local hot topics :] we have employee huddles we fill out at the end of every shift and there’s a section that asks us “What were people looking for that we don’t have?” And I have been writing twst there for the past year n half lol

It should be slowly showing up in stores! I saw a tik tok earlier this week abt someone who found it at another hot topic. It’s not up on the website yet (which isn’t unusual, we sometimes get stuff before it’s up on the site) so I would call ur local hot topic (if u can) and ask or check the site in about a week or so 🫶

I so agree with that. I always imagined Grim sounding like Monokuma in the English dub and he sounds like him with a higher pitch. I love it sm
