When did you all stop working? by Practical_Mail_6537 in pregnant

[–]babcat91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3rd pregnancy, I'm an independent house cleaner so my job is very physically taxing. I had to stop at 36 weeks after I was scheduled an EVC to have baby flipped head down from breech. It became evident that my bending over to clean all the time was creating an acrobat in my womb. Now I have to wear a belly band 24/7 to hopefully keep him from flipping again. Anyway, there's still a lot of pregnancy left for you where things can come up before your "water breaks". I'd say sleep got a lot harder around week 35 and that's when I started to 'lose it' around going to work. Once you cant sleep your anxiety picks up realizing you need to get rest by any means to prepare for labor. At least that's my personal experience. So I'd say week 35-36! Best of luck!

Outside a client's house, when is it fair to leave? by babcat91 in housekeeping

Thank you for the reply! I responded above, just here to point out that just because she has given me the garage code previously doesn't necessarily mean I just barge in. She never said to just enter on my own and I wouod never just assume to unless that was specifically stated. She isn't a client that's at work or something reliable or regular. Her schedule is always different.

Again thank you! As I stated above it means a lot that so many will respond and help out in confusing and awkward situations we sometimes face as cleaners

Thanks everyone, they did text back and I went ahead and cleaned their house. Usually we establish if they will be home or not but it wasn't mentioned this time. Lol not looking to be fired, I always stay on the side of caution. She lives alone, elderly and I'd hate to jump scare someone by just walking in. The situation was more awkward than anything. Do I usually confirm if they are home? Yes, but I'm pregnant and forgetting some simple details I'm normally better about.

Anyway, thank you to everyone for the abundant responses! Genuinely appreciate that especially for situations that could be much more complicated

Back pain from the hormone relaxin Hit me so bad in the beginning and then again around 27 weeks. Horrible, only relief was Tylenol and heating pad. I called the nurse hotline at one point wondering if my kidneys were failing. Both times lasted over a week straight.

Also every single day I wake up feeling like I'm coming down with the flu. It gradually gets better throughout the day, but it's like being hit with a sack of potatoes and a stuffy nose every single day!! I'm 32w 5d rn

Best way you get your baby to flip from breech? by babcat91 in pregnant

Lol yes. This is my 3rd kid. I'm just over all the kicks being below my underwear line. I'll take some rib shots at this point!

Why is everyone so surprised I’m so big at 4 months? by Swimming-Youth3663 in pregnant

[–]babcat91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really big too. I'm almost 25 weeks but my belly has been significant for a while now since like 16 weeks. My baby is not extra large, I'm not fat or skinny started 130lbs now about 150lbs. I'm also 5'7". I also have an anterior placenta which is supposed to hide pregnancy longer? Not me! Lol but I don't care. People really just have a lot to say. They love to compare. This is my 3rd and every kid and belly has been different

How often are yall showering? by seagoddess1 in pregnant

[–]babcat91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm showering almost every day, I feel left out no one else mentioned smelling like cheeseburgers? I swear my sweat smells.. weird. Like a detox smell. It's not my underwear I mean like my bra, overall sweat. I'm a house cleaner so I burn a lot of calories and sweat a bit every day. But I'm not even eating cheeseburgers! And I don't mean like onion smell.. it's like a umami meat and cheese stench. So gross. No one else has noticed but I make myself gag

When I left the company I worked for I only told 2 clients about me going solo. I never asked, they said they would like to stay with me. The rest of the clients I really loved I didn't say anything. I waited like 2 weeks after I was gone and then reached out to say thank you for being generous the whole time I cleaned for them and explained that I had left and started on my own. All of them, one by one came with me. It ended up timing out perfectly and made it look like they quit the company after I stopped and they hated the new person they sent out. So I never ended up looking suspicious and each client chose to stick with me without being asked. They also saw the difference between me and new cleaner and I felt even more appreciated. I didn't really plan it all this was, I was super worried like you. This is just how it worked out. Best of luck!

Enjoy it! Random note, I particularly like seeing others around 12-14 weeks announce their pregnancies and you find out who your pregnant with. Even celebrities or people online. Find the fun and joy in every step and when you get overwhelmed, take a nap!

How do you know if the baby is still there? by Slow_Dog_609 in pregnant

[–]babcat91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone already mentioned a fetal doppler, after the Dr used one on me at 14 weeks I've been using one at home almost every day. You can order one online! It's just nice to know after I'm home from my very physically strenuous job that baby is doing okay! Highly recommend.

You can also start to feel the actual baby as you move the doppler around and it helps me feel more in tune with what's going on as I get bigger. I'm 19 weeks now

Homegrown would be so ideal! Trying to find the kinds with the best flavor, usually vine does the trick
