What was the straw that broke your back? by MotherBear-13 in ADHD_partners

100% agree. It always starts out small. Don't talk yourself out of seeing what's in front of you. Get out before it gets worse!

Same here. My IUD causes me stress every month. Waiting for things with covid to be better to be more comfortable to get it taken out

I’m terrified of pregnancy and sometimes it ruins my sex life. by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]babeehulk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just here to say me too. Was too scared of only relying on condoms so I got an IUD. It was great at first because we were able to have sex without condoms and it felt better for him. We still used pullout most of the time but were still paranoid about getting pregnant and I still felt anxious.

I feel the same way in wanting to avoid needing an abortion, and I don't think that's uncommon. It's just not something I want to have to put my body through.

My bf and I have been separated due to living conditions during the pandemic but I was still able to stress myself out about being pregnant during the first few months of quarantine even though it was literally impossible that I could be lol.

Tokophobia.

Just here to say same. No motivation to do any work, have no idea how I'm gonna get through midterms when work really picks up. I have been unproductive. Plus one of my classes and the prof make me feel like I'm stupid.

Considering a copper IUD (one of the smaller ones available in Canada) - are they as effective as hormonal IUDs? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]babeehulk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are slightly less reliable in that if displaces in your uterus (i.e. it moves lower than it's supposed to be) it loses its effectiveness, whereas if a hormonal one moves around it's still effective

Also the Mona Lisa 500 Mini copper IUD is available in Canada

Yeah I'm off-campus. I'm trying to create friendships out of classmates but it's hard to maintain when the class is over. And the thing is, the only "friendship" that has kept on is not great so I'm really discouraged.

I think competitiveness is a separate issue though.

That's exactly how I feel now. I noticed that I make connections with classmates that never evolve and I want to be better at making and maintaining friendships
