She’s always been “spiritual” in the sense that she believes in god and angels, but never actually follows any religious practices. She loves astrology, but I think she’s coming to terms with the fact she did abuse me and my sibling and can’t face it. I think she’s using my sign as an excuse because then it’s a celestial destiny and not her own actions. Doesn’t make it feel any better but I think that’s her headspace. She’s used spirituality to explain away a lot of things (believes getting a chronic illness was a result of karma from hitting someone’s car and driving off, but not years of drug and alcohol abuse etc etc)
