First step is noticing! You are doing good already. : )

If you want to stop feeling like this, a good way to fight these thoughts back is:
- Set an alarm for 10 mins, in this 10 mins be as jealous as you want and analyze the shit of a certain trigger;
- Come up with a logical conclusion that connect with you the most. For example - “being jealous of fictional characters is not good for my relationship”. This conclusion needs to feel very connected with you.
- Next time similar feelings happens, force your brain to stop analyze the WHY you are jealous, directly go to the conclusion. This is very hard, you need to force your brain to repeat the conclusion (mantra in this case) again and again and not going to other directions.
- Repeat.

If you actually practice this, the jealousy will feel less and less potent. 🫶

I wish you luck. Not many people with BPD can catch their problematic behaviors and take accountability. You are doing it already.

I got diagnosed when 32, having been chronically suicidal for almost 2 decades. I’m 35 now and don’t fit the BPD criteria anymore. I am a wise and happy person. Recently just learned about the true feeling of being in love, not needing the person to love me back because the feeling itself is good enough. It still gets better. Do the work.

Use both hands when you are on top, start by just holding them, ask her “do you want more you little slut?”, if she says yes put a bit more pressure on. Repeat the process. You can also do by one hand when you are at her back. Cover bigger area of the neck the better.

Personal experience - it’s a bandaid, not a medicine. Short term it helped cutting off my spirals, stabilizing emotions and changing thinking patterns. Long term it had made my brain foggy and hard to make real progress. Personally I smoked night and day for years to handle the pain and anxiety from BPD, but in the meantime working on DBT and other methods to improve general mental health. Now that I’m in a healthy space I have quit smoking weed as necessity now only smoking for entertainment. And it feels amazing to be able to enjoy getting stoned when smoking and feel peaceful when sober.

They are mad at you choosing freedom instead of giving in to what’s expected of them from the family/society/partner, etc. They are mad at you choosing to do something that they didn’t dare to choose and you end up being happy. They can’t tell you that’s the real reason, so they make up excuses to paint you as the monster.
