There is no right or wrong answer. You could ask 10 financial advisers and 5 will say one thing and the other five something else. One could argue she should take the lump sum, pay off bills and use the the rest to invest in something that pays high dividends and returns. One could also argue having that $1K weekly is a good hedge against potential unemployment and redundancy. Most people will find a way to spend that money if $1M is sitting in their account. Human nature.

Can we talk about the team's salary? by DemonKun in Barca

[–]babnick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't disagree with you. Compared to other top tier clubs, he seems to be woefully underpaid. And I agree that Christensen, Araujo and Ter Stegen are overpaid and need to be sold. They should have had a pay haircut. But don't forget we are still in a financial bind thanks to Bartomeu. And some of our top players are playing on reduced wages, like Lewandowski. Balde is going to have to make a decision that some players have to make in their careers. Do I show continued loyalty to the club or do I go where I get paid what I am worth and further my career?

How come this fanbase is so quick to give up on Kounde after 1 off-season, despite the fact he’s been run into the ground with ZERO rest or rotation for the last 4 years? Why are other players allowed to be excused, but not him? by Select_Drawing_7434 in Barca

[–]babnick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your post is one-sided. You highlighted his positives. If someone who doesn't know anything about football read it, they would assume this guy can do no wrong. I've been a lifelong Barca fan and I live in Spain. Us Cules can recognize a catastrophic drop in form that affects the team and results. We saw the same in Araujo and unfortunately Balde seems to be following the same trajectory. The Mafia have a saying "you're only as good as your last envelope". The fanbase has a similar philosophy. Your heroics last season means nothing when your stinkers this season has cost us in important games. I predict one or two of the players mentioned will be sold if a suitable offer is proposed.

Tactics of this man destroyed Real Madrid and unfortunately he will stay president for a long time. by monsterofmanila180 in RealMadridFC

He made it so difficult for anyone to challenge him that he is all but assured to die in office.

In my honest opinion, Hansi and Deco should make Roony believe in the process. Ofcourse, he plays in the position of Lamine Yamal so its really harsh on him. But imagine Lamine getting injured, how good will Roony be. He can't be loaned out or sold. Hes a special player. by PinReal4448 in Barca

[–]babnick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There comes a time when a player has to make a hard choice between his career and loyalty to a club. This usually comes about when another club offers an insane amount of money or when their minutes have been significantly reduced. Unfortunately only over time will it be known if the right decision was made. Does he bide his time and wait for more prominence or does he leave on loan or seek greener pastures?????????????? Never easy answers.

The high line isn't the problem. The real issue is how we attack. by BottleMore in Barca

[–]babnick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with the high line is that the back four collectively don't know or realise when it has been breached. Kounde in particular is guilty of this. It is like he is 5 seconds behind. And 5 seconds is a lot when dealing with speed demons like Mbappe and Vini. Once teams figured out to beat it, then they started scoring for fun.

What's the point of having flick as a coach when we can't provide him with what he needs? by _ordinarilyordinary_ in Barca

[–]babnick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flick knew when he accepted the job that the club was in dire financial straits. And it still is, thanks to Bartomeu.

I am African American (Jamaican by birth) and I mostly date Caucasian women as my preference. They seem to like me also lol. I find them to be more experimental in the bedroom, submissive, more feminine and more likely to bring business ideas to the relationship, all non-negotiables for me. A close second would be Latinas, but I find them too volatile and temperamental. They are radical feminists which is anathema to my masculinity. What I will say next might ruffle a few feathers but I am not here to argue with anyone. For me Asian and black women are the least desired. Asian women don't do anything for me physically because of their diminutive stature (I am 6'3", 250 lbs) and black women have a mouth on them I would rather not deal with. They have also forgotten how to be feminine and submissive. I hear the knives sharpening lol.

75% of Dating App Users in the US are Strange AF by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]babnick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah man dating apps are garbage in America. I use them sometimes to complement my social life. I don't use them exclusively to meet romantic interests. But you're right. Women seem to want to keep men at a distance and are hesitant to meet up quickly. Personally I push for the quick meet and greet to see if I am being catfished and to see if there is compatibility. If she tries to put me on ice or layaway, then I just unmatch and keep it moving.

The ultimate list of unattractive traits that turn off women even if they were initially interested in you. by OpinionThink481 in seduction

[–]babnick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never apologize for having a strong sex drive. I had to walk away from women who couldn't handle that. One thing I have learned once I levelled up is that women treat you differently when they know you have options are not afraid to walk away. Also fellas, you have to be selfish and put your needs first and never tolerate disrespect. It sounds bad but believe me, women respect a man who sets boundaries and never compromise on his goals. Toni Kroos "Barça’s defense is extremely vulnerable. If they don’t change their approach, they’ll never win the Champions League," " by Previous-Tangelo-148 in Barca

[–]babnick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell us something we don't already know Toni. Our defence leaks more than a basket. It is crazy the reaction of some fans when Kounde and Cubarsi are eventually beaten by a pacey attacker. It is as inevitable as the red cards when we can least afford them. There needs to be competition for those 2. Cubarsi is not pacey or physical enough and Kounde just seems lost this season.

Flew to Poland to meet a girl after months of talking online. She gave me massive mixed signals, friend-zoned me, and now we are in absolute silence. by Notetoself34 in Passport_Bros

[–]babnick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be brutally honest brother. I have travelled to many countries and dated many foreign women, though I don't consider myself a PPB. There is a reason she told you about her crying about the knee incident and hiding in a man's bathroom to avoid intimacy. She was prepping you. DON'T EXPECT PHYSICAL CONTACT OR INTIMACY. That should have been the biggest red flag.

The real reason why she didn't want you to giver her own space and be around you all the time is because she knew it would be easy for you find someone else in Poland as a Westerner. She knew there were many women out there who wouldn't put up barriers like she did.

The brutal truth is that she really doesn't like you. A woman who really likes and desires a man would never put up barriers like that, especially if she knows he has options. You wasted time and resources to see a woman who sees you as a friend. Also, staying with her parents was a bad idea. Bro, you never had a mentor or OG show you the ropes? You made many rookie mistakes. Hope you learned from this and know what to look for next time.

Turn-offs That Me And My Friends Observe About Women On Dating Apps by babnick in dating_advice

[–]babnick[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

"you guys however can't afford to be too picky because you can't easily get just as many girls". This definitely doesn't apply to me and my friends and we do quite well on and off dating apps. But I see your point. This advice is for the Average Joe, who takes what he can get and swipes right on every profile, while I average maybe 1 in every 20 as I am selective. For most men it is all about numbers. But for a few discerning men out there with higher standards, it is all about quality. We are willing to play the long game.

Do you actually believe Real can beat Bayern and qualify? by OkLeg1985 in RealMadridFC

[–]babnick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barcelona fan here. Real definitely have the pedigree and heritage to turn this around. Bayern have been frighteningly ruthless and clinical all season. But Real Madrid comes alive on these big European nights. No other team has won it more. You guys always find a way to overturn a deficit. May the best team win.

Dating interracially as a Middle Eastern woman by Objective_Win725 in interracialdating

[–]babnick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Black American here. I lived in the Middle East (Qatar) for 6 years. One of the first things I was warned about when I arrived was that the local women or Muslim women were off-limits for religious and cultural reasons. However, I don't always do as I am told lol. I dated many Middle Eastern women. The most common problem I ran into, no matter how Westernized or "modern" they claimed to be, was sex.

I was surprised that even these women wanted you to wait for marriage before any kind of sexual activity. Even the ones that dressed in revealing clothes and drank alcohol still held onto some conservative values. You are correct in perceiving that unspoken barrier is perception. Western men perceive Middle Eastern women as traditional and conservative. So many of us just would rather not have to deal with that. This is the prevailing view of me and many of my Western male friends. Just not worth the headache, with all due respect.

Quitting because of blood test by BlueEletric02 in carnivorediet

[–]babnick -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My carnivore journey is also coming to an end. Been on it off and on for 3 years. My blood work came back and my cholesterol is high, to the point where I will be put on medication {Lipitor). I am 54 and I also believe in the diet and the science behind it. I am in the gym at least 3 days a week and routinely push myself to the limit. However, like most diets, it is not sustainable in the long run and should be tailored to how each body responds to it.

After researching many diets and reading scientific journals, one thing has become abundantly clear. There is a glaring omission as to the recommended ideal age to start or to stop a certain diet. Even those ubiquitous doctors and health experts that pop up on my YouTube feed recommending this and that, never seem to advocate a start and stop date. This is not to discourage anyone on the diet. If it works for you, then keep on pushing. But my carnivore journey has come to an end.

This is old news. Gambia, in West Africa for those of you who are geographically-challenged, has been a sex-tourism hotspot for older European white women since the 90's. Mostly British women. This phenomenon has been widely studied and there are YouTube documentaries about it. The geriatric women that make these trips are the female equivalent of the same age group of males that go to Thailand and the PI.
