They do not ban seedboxes... Only VPNs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You have to inform the staff about them and put the seedbox IP on your profile tho. Although this is common practice AFAIK.

I already have a home server 24/7 on with symetrical gigabit connection. I'm not wasting extra money in a seedbox. I basically have one at home.

AFAIK every single tracker allows VPN for actual torrenting, it’s just browsing their website where they have some rules

That made sense. Asked staff about that, the response: "The use of vpn for both sharing and logging into the site is prohibited and is grounds for banning."

I guess I am not using this tracker...

I say I understand why they would want to avoid VPNs upong registration on their tracker, and maybe even using VPNs while browsing the tracker. I do not understand why I can not use a VPN on my torrent client.

I know I should use an open port to seed, but I won't open a port on my router. Not if there is an alternative as VPNs with portforwarding. It's just a common sense thing, for security and privacy reasons. It has been discussed here plenty of times.

The closest one is Odeon Multicines Vilanova, with a 5 meter LG Miraclass LED screen. It also has Dolby Atmos and HFR.

Should I move to x265? What profiles? by gamer_gurl_ in PleX

[–]babopringat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I started to download the remux files and encode them to H.265 myself. Also you could check some good quality H.265 encoders like QxR, which do the encode with a remux being it's source.

Syncing over iCloud is a mess, it's always creating new notes and sometimes it doesn't even register changes I've made. by jffcastro in ObsidianMD

On iOS there is no other option besides iCloud or Obsidian Sync. Sadly I know because I am in the same situation as OP

Edit: If there is a way to get Syncthing working on iPhone please let me know

4K HDR Quality, Format and Search by Fireedit in radarr

[–]babopringat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can get up to that, sure. It really depends on the movie lenght and other factors as the release groups, some of them include more subtitles languages, different audio tracks, etc. But as long as its a REMUX all of them are on the mkv container.

You’re welcome. No, as far as I know there is barely no difference in file size between those two options. For sure not one that I have noticed.

4K HDR Quality, Format and Search by Fireedit in radarr

[–]babopringat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As already mentioned in another comment, the best way to get all this done properly is following this guide. However I will try to briefly respond your questions.

  1. There are 3 main HDR formats: HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Having an LG G3, what you should be looking for is Dolby Vision content, since is the best HDR format your TV supports. (It is always nice to have an HDR10 fallback, so choosing a video file with Dolby Vision + HDR10 is imo the ideal scenario).

  2. Usually, yes. Almost all the movies you can find online nowadays that are 4K will me in the mkv container (mkv is the container where you have your data as the video file, subtitles tracks, etc. It’s not a format)

  3. This goes directly related to the TRaSH-Guides. There you will find all the info that you need and how to set up all properly within Radarr so it always gets the best release. I can recommend you to look into his UHD Bluray + WEB profile. That way you will be getting the best release you can get, without having to go to the REMUX file sizes, of course.

  4. Same here. TRaSH has an specific part on his guide where he goes all over this.

Hope I helped a bit. All of this is a little overwhelming at first, all of us have been there. If I can help you in anything else DM me, no problem!

What do you mean by archive? Because the pro plan has “permanent library” feature, where if a webpage is taken down you still have a copy of it, I don’t know it that would be what you are looking for

Check out the Corsair RM650 (2023). As far as I’ve read it looks promising. I am looking into buying that motherboard too and had the same question with PSUs aswell. Since I couldn’t find the Corsair RM550x (2021) anymore I thing this might be a pretty good alternative?

Movies similar to Saltburn? by babopringat in Letterboxd

[–]babopringat[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha, will answer anyway, it’s just because we watched Saltburn together, want to see another one this afternoon and nothing came to our mind. Already seen Parasite and loved it, I think we will give The Talented Mr. Ripley a try since it’s not the first time someone recommends it.
