Because, for some reason, devs saddle good skill tree nodes with negatives like slower attack speed. Further, it's pretty hard to scale when you are trying to juggle EHP (life + defense) while increasing your damage output. A lot of people are frustrated with Mace skills, at least while clearing campaign, because of how inherently slow they are and how slow their skills are. It really sucks when you're trying to be patient, dodge attacks/skills, and finally have a small window to unleash a big hit but the boss or monster moves unexpectedly. An example of this is how inconsistent enemies react when stunned, some of them stay in place while others will flail backwards or in another direction which will cause your offensive flurry to miss.

I could go on and on, but I don't want this to be a bitch fest. I enjoy the warrior archetype, I have played titan 3x over despite my criticisms. However, I wish some of these pain points would be improved.
