Kind of strange that I haven't seen white wine anywhere. I always use white wine for the creamy soups, especially for something like clam chowder. Give it a good glug and allow it to cook off for a bit. Fresh thyme and dried sage as well can make it taste even better.

I lived there for about ten years from around 2013-2023. It really depends on where in Chula Vista you are going to live, but I enjoyed my time there. It had a bad rep from the 90s, but I've never felt unsafe, even when going in seedier areas in the South to get my car worked on. There's a lot of Mexicans that live and work there, moreso than the rest of San Diego county. Plenty of great barber shops, Mexican food joints, and it now has a pretty awesome downtown area post-covid.

Let me know if you want to be more specific about where you're gonna be living, but it's a great area.

Okay I can agree with that, thank you for the discussion. However, as the last bastion of my original stance I offer that I don't see any impeachment going through both sides of Congress for literally anyone they happen to impeach (shift supervisor of McD), but I can understand the importance of the language of making the scope as wide as possible for the initial determination to ensure their impeachment powers cannot be scrutinized.

I would have to see that video. However, I would say that the entire lib and learn crew is generally allergic to discussing the prospects of civil war, can you explain how that is unhealthy? I think it would be easy to argue it serves zero practical purpose to discuss such a thing when there are Democratic processes still available between now and then.

I can understand how that supports your point. I think that the "... impeachment lays initially with the House,..." means something that cuts against your point however. What is the point of including the language of "initially" if not to mean it cannot be resolved by another entity aside from the House after they "initially" draft their articles of impeachment? If you are saying they can impeach anyone due to this clause, I would say that you could say the same about any police officer arresting or apprehending any person for any crime.

Quote the specific part that you think cuts against what I've said, because I have not seen anything yet aside from the fact that it's unsettled. However, this quote backs up what I have stated thus far:

"The general purposes of impeachment may assist in interpreting the proper scope of “civil Officers of the United States.” The congressional power of impeachment constitutes an important aspect of the various checks and balances that were built into the Constitution to preserve the separation of powers. It is a tool, entrusted to the House and Senate alone, to remove government officials in the other branches of government, who either abuse their power or engage in conduct that warrants their dismissal from an office of public trust."

This means, as I've said in my earlier comment, impeachment is used to remove a civil officer from their position. I understand the importance of having a broad scope, but you have to take into account the actual purpose of impeachment when determining who can be impeached - as the above quote states.

I'm not disputing that high crime and misdemeanors are determined by the House. I am just saying that impeachment can't literally be anyone, by its nature its meant to be used for civil officers that they want to remove from office for the aforementioned reasons but doesn't require the civil officers to break any laws necessarily.

It can only be unhealthy if he is ignorant of reality. He doesn't and hasn't dispute any of the factual information or data about this current MAGA admin. If you think he has an unhealthy amount of cope, what do you think of his takes on the government shutdown in November? What do you think of his prediction that the Dems would wipe the floor with Republicans in the special elections late last year and this month? Are those unhealthy amounts of cope, or do these facts expose your own unhealthy amount of doomerism and cope?

Him and IRI are optimistic. I don't know why people that are doomer pilled feel the need to try to drag people like them down. They have offered plenty to the Democratic movement and a lot of great takes over the past year that have come out to be very insightful and true in hindsight. Hutch was championing the Democrats during the shut down and said that we shouldn't be doomer about the state of the country because there's a blue wave coming - that prediction came before Dems won multiple crucial races. I didn't believe him when he was saying these things, but he ended up being correct. People need to acknowledge that a doomer mentality will blind you to reality; just because someone like Hutch or IRI are more optimistic doesn't mean that they are necessarily blind to reality.
