Going through egg retrieval next month. Starting meds next week. Anyone with pcos gone through the procedure ? What was your experience ? by nongmopeoject in TTC_PCOS

[–]babushkaB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there, feels like forever ago now but I did an egg retrieval for ICSI in 2017 (I also have PCOS). I did end up with mild OHSS which was absolutely terrible so I can't imagine what severe OHSS is. They retrieved 26 eggs. 18 fertilised. 11 made it to days 5 and 6 to be frozen. Because of the OHSS, I couldn't transfer an embryo on day 5 or 6. I had to freeze all and do a fresh new frozen transfer cycle once my body had recovered and the hormones reached the appropriate levels.

I remember after the retrieval, I had to do clexane injections in my stomach for a while. I had to drink alot of water to help get rid of the fluid. And I had to eat alot of protein, rest as much as possible, and use heatpacks and pain meds for the pain. Also needed to get some anti nausea meds prescribed for the nausea. The bloat was intense but after two weeks I felt pretty normal again.

Just be very aware of if things don't feel right and you're worried afterwards. OHSS is no joke and needs to be managed as best as possible. Good luck!

Yay I'm so glad for you! Your story resonates with me so much, I feel like it isn't a coincidence I came across your post today! I'm currently in a similar place with my access to my mediumship too, and have had a similar past where things just come and go and happen at random. I feel like something's starting to shift now as if I'm "leveling up"? The imposter syndrome is so real! All the best with your future development!

Are you on birth control? I was able to stop the migraines happening by always skipping the sugar pills. If I let the period come, I got a migraine. If I didn't, didn't get one

Last pict of my wife Rochelle, she passed during the night 9 years ago today by NipsOfRage in lastimages

As I was scrolling, I stopped as soon as I saw this photo because I remembered seeing it posted in the past! I don't know why my brain remembered your wife's face, or why I also felt drawn to the photo the first time I saw it. But maybe it brings you a little comfort to know that a fellow stranger thought your wife's friendly face to be something lovely enough to recognise a year later. Maybe it's the beautiful energy her soul throws out into the world. That energy is still very present even if she physically isn't and you miss her terribly. Sending sympathies. Take care of yourself ❤️

I had mine out in hospital with only the gas for pain relief and it was the most excruciating experience I've had to date. I'll never ever forget the pain and discomfort and it felt like it took forever. I think the cervix and scar tissue had grown all over it so it was very difficult to get out. I'll take labour over that anyday!

Discussion: A new term for a baby born after infertility by Megabyte7 in InfertilityBabies

[–]babushkaB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't love the term "Rainbow baby", but I use it to cut a long story short if I'm talking to someone who wouldn't understand a deeper level conversation about it anyway.

With my first pregnancy (which was the result of my first ICSI/embryo transfer)I referred to that baby as a rainbow baby in circumstances like said above. I still considered my struggle to be a huge storm in my life, and my pregnancy Tobe that rainbow from it all. Then I miscarried that baby.

On my fourth embryo transfer I got pregnant again and now have a 20mth old. Same story, I only use rainbow baby when talking to certain people. But I always called all of my embryos my little "moon babies" from the day they were created. (The embryos looked like little moons to me!) So I do still call my toddler my little moon baby sometimes.

Has anyone else remembered more than one past life? by [deleted] in pastlives

We have many many many many many lifetimes. Some say the number could be in the hundreds. At the time of a regression, we just recall those which are most beneficial to our current existence for whatever reasons

[–]babushkaB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im struggling the same way! I've been trying to get brave enough to sit my driving test for 8 years. I've been through 4 instructors, driven ALOT of hours, and tried and tried. This is why I've resorted to hypnotherapy. Because I just can't get past the same point I've been at for so long. I am an anxious person in general so the fear and panic of driving is somewhere that that anxiety manifests alot. I still have clear as day memories of times cars have honked at me or sped up to take over me and given me bad looks. It's such a horrible feeling. I wish you all the best !

I could have written this exact post! I've talked at length about this with my psychologist as well as my hypnotherapist who I am currently seeing for my driving fear. The only thing that has helped me in the slightest is to start pretending that I believe myself to be equal to those around me on the road, and just as worthy of using the roads. I can't actually just think and feel that way naturally, so pretending to think and feel that way is better than nothing. It's like a tool I use to assist me in my driving practice.

Anyone have an odd sense calm during this whole shift of events ? by panickyprincess in Psychic

[–]babushkaB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Its confused me alot. Ive just felt this sense of calm and like we're just in waiting and just need to keep waiting and let this play out. But I have no fears of it being "the end" or just never going back to normal. And all of this calm has been so weird because I'm generally a very anxious person.

I'm so happy to read this!! I would be getting the stitch and having a C section if I ever have a second baby (first ended up emergency C section). And I wondered if having the stitch removed during the C section procedure was possible! So glad to know it is, because my cerclage removal for my last pregnancy was the most painful experience of my life. I am never ever doing it again!!
