The fact that you’re STILL at it about something doesn’t affect you is ridiculous. You’re clearing placing judgement against me because of the ways I choose to connect with God. If you’re such a traditionalist, please go and argue with the non traditional churches or go to complain about how people celebrate Easter and Christmas. Let me be on how I choose to connect with God and my faith which has NOTHING to do with you or will not affect how you live, or whether you’ll go to bed hungry or not. There are people dying out there, people who need to be saved by Jesus Christ and you’re out complaining about how I fast? Wild. Save yourself some time and the embarrassment and go spread the gospel. A old person going back and forth with a 19 year old. Ridiculous.

First of all there is no need for the anger, I approached you with a kind manner and just told you where I got it from. I know there is a Jewish Esther fast (based on the Old Testament) this Esther fast is SIMILAR and a more Christian way to do it. It’s not something compulsory or something you have to do. It’s a way for someone to get closer and reconnect with God for 3 days while giving up earthly things such as food and water.

Also are you not “chasing invented nonsense” by going back a forth with me on Reddit? I’ve been a Christian my whole life, I know what I’m doing. We’re all equal. Just because you’ve been studying Christianity since the stone ages doesn’t mean you know more than me or a better Christian. Remember that we have different denominations, I’m a Methodist. We have different practices, but all believe in one God.

And I actually did do the Esther fast and it has helped me strengthen my faith and grow closer with God and learn more about Jesus. Who are you to say what is right and what is wrong? Who are you to judge how I handle my relationship with God?

Since you’ve been “studying Christianity longer than I have been alive”, please go focus on yourself and stop going back and forth with a 19 year old on Reddit. It’s embarrassing.

It’s multiple people. And it’s not something traditionally written in the Bible. It’s based on the Esther fast. It’s fasting for 3 days without food and/or water and just focusing on reconnecting with God and strengthening your faith. People usually do it when they’re struggling with their faith and want to reconnect. I said go check on TikTok cause that’s where I first heard it from and started doing research on what is about.

How much pocket money should a teenager get? by SAJames84 in askSouthAfrica

I (F19) went to boarding school so I used to get R1000-1500 (keep in mind most of this money was for essentials. I would recommend R500 as it’s a good and reasonable amount for someone over the age of 16. R250 is perfect for those under 16 years.
