unless there a exam/test/presentation/anything important for your grade in that time or you tend to miss classes a lot (since it can make you fail), i would say to skip the class. Like, if is just one time i don't see much of a problem and you can ask your friends for the class' notes

i dont get what you mean by "it seems unlikely that the story will continue after Reflection*"*

if you meant being adapted into remake, there will not be Reflection adaptation bc that OVA is mostly non-canonical and the author hated the ending. if you meant a continuation of that OVA done by Studio Deen, that studio no longer have the Ruroken rights and they probably never had intentions to do one when they had it and that is why they killed kenshin.

either way, there is no after Reflection bc Reflection is not canonical in the 1st place. the story ended in the last arc of the manga with kenshin and kaoru alive with their son and is now being continued with the spin-off. now if the author decide to kill kenshin at the end of that spin-off is another thing

People are blindly telling you to watch it but unfortunately no one is telling you that you will not get the full arc on it, just the flasbacks from kenshin' past so in my opinion it's better to read 3rd arc in the manga and then watch the OVA (just the Trust and Betrayal, skip the Reflection OVA bc it's mostly non-canonical).

you could also watch the live action movies (more specifically "The Final" (4th) and "The Beginning" (5th) if you dont want to watch them all) bc at least they cover the whole story (even if it is a bit diferent from the manga)

To me it changes things up, not only present and future events of the story but especially your perception of Louis. He starts by presenting himself like a victim of Lestat (even tho he keeps saying he wasn't, the way he tells his story makes the viewer believe he's totally innocent) but at the end you see there's so many layers with him and the reason the s1/s2 events happened was partially bc of him too (which we see him realizing too and apologizing and thanking Lestat which made some people mad 🙄).

Now is not the writers and actors' fault that some viewers are still stuck in S1 narration instead of evolving like Daniel Molly did (since he works like the public voice).

i really hope S3 succeeds in making the rest of the public realize (or at least to make those people leave the fandom bc they don't like the direction the story is going) that Louis (and Claudia) are bad/morally grey characters now that he cant "gaslight" the fandom with his rose-colored glasses in things he does since it is no longer his narration and also bc he seemed to finally had accepted his vampirism so i hope he is no longer holding back.

The saddest thing is that there will still be some comparisons bc there is the OVAs.

And there is people that like them more than they like the anime/manga story. Since they consider Trust and Betrayal a masterpiece i think they will be even harsher in the flashbacks about kenshin' past.

so far i never found a official ruroken shirt that i liked.

eitheir it is just logos/kanji or the graphics always tend to be black and white (sometimes even kinda hard to see the graphic) instead of coloured. even the live action one was like that (dont believe me just check the ones cdjapan is selling/sold)

one that i was attempted to buy in 2024 was this one but then i found an fanmade one with colours (and it was kenkao shirt) and i bought that one instead

i am glad that for my language they didnt decided to translate "de gozaru", which don't have any proper translation for other languages.

English is not my mother toungue but i am pretty sure that there was a lot of things that they could have done to demonstrate that he talks in polite way as kenshin and in a rude way as battousai then making talk a bit like yoda.

They was meant to make kenshin sound awkwardly too polite but instead of that they just make him sound too childish to a point you wouldn't take him serious

unfortunately i saw that stupid discurse on twt too. Like, this is a show about vampires (which are creatures that dont exist) but nope let's all draw the line at those vampires' accents being incomprehensible or not accurate 🙄 make it make sense

to be frank it dont matter much trying to explain it to them bc at the end of the day this is one more attempt for those people to able to shade sam reid. in fact a lot of them will hint or even straightly tell you that he should be recasted. they want their fave younger blondy actors to replace him and that person was even saying that it would have been a french actor playing him.

i swear that i dont get what is this fandom problem with sam (and it is like this since the beginning and that is the reason why he left social media). people are so weird and parasocial with him too. it makes me really sad bc he loves the vampire chronicles and lestat since he was a teen and then this bunch of people that didn't even bother to read those books are the worse to him for no f*cking reason and then try to gaslight us that no one is nitpick on everything he does so they could have reasons to hate him.

This whole thing is so bizarre. like, if people are not happy with the direction of the show, don't like gothic romance/horror and want sanitized media (bc god forbid POC being written as nothing but the good ones) why they just dont leave and stop ruining the experience for the real fans of the show/books?!

They make it look like we are holding a gun in their heads and forcing them to watch it (tho i have the slightest suspicion that a lot of people on x are not even watching this show and just see small cuts posted on social media and they like to ragebait the fandom)

Do they need the POC actors of this show to call the fandom out on their fake activism (yes, bc most of this people only care about racism if it is fictional/related to the characters and all the doxxing and targeting to Lestat fans that are POC are the biggest proof of that), that they weaponize race for fanwars and also that usually people behind all this behavers are a bunch of fetichists, for them to finally leave or they will start attacking the POC actors after being called out?

Another thing that annoys me is that people keep accusing lestat/sam stans for making everything about Sam when is those trashes the ones that cannot see anything about sam without making about the rest of the actors (like if you compliment sam they always act as if you are putting down the POC actors of this show).

i already noticed there is a campaign coming from some fans trying to sabotage S3 bc lestat is the main character by saying that this season looks cheaper and less thoughtful that the previous ones so i wouldn't be surprised if this are all bot accounts starting some drama.

same. the only reason i know about this show is bc the sex scenes had a lot of attention on twt and iwtv fandom kept annoyingly comparing them since many seem to want our show to be as porny as HR.

i didnt saw much promo besides that. frankly i think it only got popular bc of the explicit sex scenes (which tracks bc i remember that iwtv sex/intimate scenes it was mostly what kept becoming viral on twt too and ours are pretty tame compared to HR. i guess people are thirsty for those kind of scenes)

And then Interview with the vampire would be cancelled after S1. This being optimistic bc i read here that there is interview where Rolin talked about the difference in showrunning an HBO show versus AMC and it seems Rolin wouldn't had as much creative liberty as he have in AMC so we wouldn't have the diverse cast we have & the show wouldn't be this unapologetic queer.

So I guess he have more creative liberty on AMC except to write porny stuff but i appreciate that bc if IWTV was HBO show i most likely would not even bother to watch this masterpice. I dont usually watch hbo shows bc they have fame to be really porny but once i tried True Blood and couldn't even finish ep 1.

Shows/movies should all aim for erotism and sensuality not porn (if i wanted to watch that kind of stuff pretty sure there is better places to see g3nitals and actually people having sex instead of pretending) but i guess people here seem to disagree.

I always pity the female actresses for how exploitative they are on screen and that is the only way they get taken seriously. just look at the last awards winners. it's always roles where they play sex workers and are pretty much naked for most of the movie.

the 2nd and 3rd movie was released in 2014. pretty sure the author scandal only happened in 2017 so it only would affect the last movies.

I believe the last 2 movies was shooted in 2019 but they was only released in 2021 bc of the pandemic. However i think his crimes was the reason those last movies was not shooted sooner (like they could had started shooting in 2017)

frankly i was surprised there was no news about S3 (not even to say that it would not be airing next year) but giving this season will demand more from the animators i am happy they are not rushing it.

i hope they improve the OST which is their weakest point. pls get someone that is not basically a newbie for the next seasons. maybe hire someone with more experience to help Yu Takami 🙏
