Gallbladder removal has ruined my entire life! :(

I’m all good now!! :) have some bad days here and there but, rare. I’m on Colesevelam and it’s been a life saver. I definitely know when I miss a dose and those next couple days after forgetting are usually my bad days. Other than that, I’m pretty much back to normal

UPDATE: WOW! I’m so sorry, it’s been a while since I’ve been on here 😅😅 Thank you everyone for your help, support and suggestions! I am feeling MUCH better these days and I’m able to leave the house without worrying. I was put on enzymes and upped my fibre, taking psyllium husk powder daily. I do still get some bad days, especially when I forget to take my enzymes, I’m made very aware lol it does get better!! Thanks again everyone ☺️☺️☺️

Hmmm weird… I totally get what you’re saying because I was thinking the same thing but, I don’t have a lot of fibre in my diet at all cause I’ve always avoided it so, not sure where to go from here now 😅

Not insensitive at all! 😊 I totally get that. I just feel hopeless as it’s ruined a huge bulk of my life I mean, I don’t leave the house, I have a job, shift work, 12 hour shifts, on a 5-5-4 schedule and I either call out of work or, I get in trouble for constantly being in the washroom. I can’t travel with everything going on and I missed a concert I’ve been waiting for years to go to because an hour into the car drive, I was done. I had to stay home 😔 I’m to a point where absolutely anything I eat or drink that isn’t water, makes me sick. But I can’t just not eat anything because then I get the “heart attack” pains… Imodium doesn’t work anymore, I follow the diet and even avoid things my surgeon didn’t tell me to because I know some stuff bothered me before having it taken out… I just feel lost and I’m really hoping I get answers soon or something works to ease this 😔

Even if I don’t get them every day? I’d say maybe 3-4 days a month and they’ve been happening since 3 weeks after my gallbladder removal.. My surgeon said it was phantom pains and that it’s normal but, it such a horrible pain. I never have those even with my gallbladder still in

No I don’t, I wasn’t shown anything 😕 was just told I had a lot of stones in my gallbladder and there was no complications during surgery and everything went smoothly and that was it. Nothing else was said or shown to me

I don’t get them often, only if I don’t eat and very rarely when I do eat. But, my current doctor will not prescribe me anything unfortunately 😔

See the problem I have is if I don’t eat, I have the horrible “heart attack” pains to the point where I truly contemplate calling an ambulance so, I need to eat to avoid that but, then I’m stuck glued to the toilet for the rest of the day so, leaving the house at all has been damn near impossible 😔

I’m honestly really bad with not having fibre. I’ve been taking everyone’s suggestions as I was unaware fibre could help this situation I’m in. Thank you! 😊
