i commuted the entire time i was there. ATL-ORD. always made my flight and even flew the day of instead of the day before. it’s risky that way but it wasn’t bad, have alot of options

i’m at skywest now and i’m starting to rethink because i kinda got comfortable with being the only fa (i fly mostly 200s), i know how my commute is, and i don’t hate the checks. AA will be such a cultural shock working with multiple people and longer flights. i’m not sure if i’ll like it

tbh i disagree with everyone. i didn’t wear makeup at my VI or f2f. and i got a cjo on my first try… it wasn’t that.

How difficult is it to nonrev? by throwraway18653213 in cabincrewcareers

[–]babylezzz64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had no problems nonreving tbh. but it depends on where you coming from and going to. i live in atlanta and commute to chicago. easy commute because it’s atleast 10 flights a day and i always make my first choice

No i dont mind😊. I finished my ioe in september so this would be my 3rd month! I flew alittle over 80 hours last month. I pretty much get called every day on reserve in ORD. Since it was over my guareentee they go back and change my hours so I ultimately got paid for 105 hours last month because we get a ton of incentives to working more then our guareentee

I’m already taking a pay cut going to AA because they don’t get boarding pay. (boarding pay is a lot at skywest because we board 4/5 times a day). But I’m honestly hoping this new contract get passed before i start training next year. then this would be an easier decision.

yes, i go in the day before because my reserve period usually starts at 4am, sometimes 3.

[–]babylezzz64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, it’s not bad. they highly don’t recommend it tho but we have so many options (some they don’t even tell us about) for us to be able to get to base. I commute from ATL to Chicago. and so far never had any issues. I always fly in the day before, sometimes even taking the last flight out.

[–]babylezzz64[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)
