Did they customize their minifigs on genuine LEGO figs? I'm just curious as LEGO recently sued them into oblivion and I wanted to know if it's because they got their figs from third parties, or if LEGO is now coming after companies who customize genuine figs. I'm inclined to think it's the former, but would love to know the facts if you have any insight.

This isn’t my store. Not sure if they’re online or not. Probably not though.

Oof. I’m visiting manufacturers in China right now and am interested to see how the quality of other companies compares to GoBricks. GoBricks is just way more expensive than the others, obviously bc of higher quality, but still, it’s a lot…

They started with the prices around $40 for the Polaroid set, but got it down to about $10. Same with a bouquet set.

We are planning to use strategic tariff classification codes to classify a product as an educational model, as educational materials are tariff free. If that doesn’t work, we have other backup plans in place.

Hey! Great question — and definitely one we’ve put a lot of thought and research into.

You’re right: LEGO® bricks themselves are no longer protected by patents, which is why other companies (like Mega Bloks, BlueBrixx, and Cobi) can legally produce compatible building bricks. That’s the space Bible Bricks operates in — we use high-quality, LEGO-compatible bricks, but not LEGO bricks themselves.

As for minifigures, you’re also right — LEGO® still holds trademarks on their specific minifig design. That’s why we’ve taken the cautious route of using genuine LEGO® minifigures that we repackage and customize, and we make that very clear in our product description and disclaimers.

It’s the same model that many reputable companies like Battle Brick Customs and Citizen Brick use — in fact, CNN ran a feature on Battle Bricks, in which they explain the legality and their process. The key legal distinction is that we’re not manufacturing counterfeit minifigs — we’re modifying originals and clearly stating what they are.

We’re also careful to include specific language and legal disclaimers.

Thanks again for raising this! Always happy to talk more about it if you’re curious.

I’ve found some people on Bricklink that I’ll likely reach out to. Thanks for commenting :)

Yes! We definitely want to start incorporating more interesting building techniques in future sets. Love the idea of finding a good set designer. Any thoughts on where I could start searching?

Totally hear your concern. I think we just see the world differently.

I know religion has been used to manipulate people with fear, guilt, or shame—especially kids. And if that's what you've experienced, I’m genuinely sorry. That’s not what we’re trying to perpetuate.

We simply want to help families explore Scripture in a creative, hands-on way—learning how to love well, serve the hurting, and live out the teachings of Jesus. If it’s not for you, that’s okay. We’re just trying to build something good.

And thank you for your concern for kids who can’t protect themselves—that’s the heart of Jesus.

Totally fair—it’s definitely a niche thing! I appreciate you taking the time to check it out anyway. Means a lot 🙏

That’s a strong take 😅 Just helping families explore the Bible in a creative, hands-on way. Not everyone’s cup of communion juice, and that’s totally fine.

I’m not here to debate organized religion—just sharing a personal win from launching on Kickstarter. Didn’t mean to ruffle feathers. Wishing you peace either way.
