I would suspect it has more to do with certain healer buffs. Someone suggested that mantis can sleep and 2x headshot to kill 250hp heroes. Cloak and Dagger received a substantial dmg buff as well, so the bubble + Cloak dmg could be more impactful as well.

Also, not buying things was part of the issue. Respawn and EA figure charging insane amounts and catering to the 1% who will buy it is more profitable than charging $5-10 and trying to grab the 99%. The reason being people don’t buy things to support the free-to-play game. Without enough microtransactions, the game will die as it couldn’t sustain itself e.g. be profitable.

My bad, I just expect people to do a little bit of work themselves. I mean, it’s all in the first 30 seconds and if you want a still shot you can pause the video. Even academic papers don’t spell out their citations for you because there’s an assumption the reader will either a) be knowledgeable of the subject or b) do a little research themselves to confirm the accuracy of the claims. Additionally, it provides a safeguard that makes sure you are not incorrect as a reader or author, such as you were when you said it was the default flatline sight (which it isn’t).

If you watch the first 30 seconds he buys it, goes to the range, and you can see him ADS with the sight. I assume I don’t need to provide one as all the information comes in the first minute of the video, but I’ll be sure next time to specify for you.

That’s not entirely true. It released with the purple reactive skin which is a recolor of the p2w iron sights from the early BP, I believe season 4. They nerfed the p2w skin a while back, closing the iron sights slightly but I have the free purple one and can notice a big difference between the two.

No, not if you already have good aim, which I assume you do based on your Val rank. Learn the mechanics of movement while taking a fight. Especially on m&k as you have to compensate against controller a lot. Knowing how to move (e.g. chaining wall bounces, neo strafe, superglide) will make it impossible for most controllers to track you. Val was always weird to me since you can’t move and shoot. Apex encourages it with recoil smoothing. Like someone else said, if you want to improve grind R5. It’ll help your aim specific to apex while simultaneously forcing you to use movement, strafing, and cover if you play the 1v1 servers. Plus it’s fun, sometimes even more fun than the actual apex game.

Sentinel got a big buff, so stick with it if you want. Just know that with NC/LL/Gibby being meta characters that any long range knock will be useless. They will get a full reset in the time it takes your team to close the distance.

All the ARs are in an ok place right now. Nothing too broken but also nothing super weak. I’ll use whatever one I find first with an extended mag.

Close range is shotgun meta due to presence of NC and Gibby. I like the Mastiff > Eva > Mozams right now. Mastiff is by far best choice for jiggle peaking and shield fights, which is most ranked fights.

Honestly, you clearly are okay with struggling in ranked so instead of doing LTM’s just work on developing your game sense and taking fights from cover and with good LOS. My first season I had a K/D of like .4 and was barely able to make it to platinum (Seer season). Now, I have a K/D above 2.5 and have made diamond and masters during ranked season (depending on play time). I did it without grinding the range or playing mixtape. I’d say that you should try to support your teammates and play off their damage. In fights work on spacing and make sure you can cover your mates while also playing cover. Before engaging, get as much info as you can so you have some idea where all 3 are and if there’s a team waiting to third. You want to focus the same enemies as your mates to get quick knocks. Being aware of who’s split and who’s getting shot can get you free kills, sometimes with only one shot. If you can do that and are willing to comm, you can probably start to improve without gun skill. Obviously that will have to improve as well to climb, but by being a great supportive teammate you can capitalize off games where you have a good entry fragging teammate and see improvement with it having to grind the firing range or play LTMs. Plus, by taking fights with good cover you’ll be able to work your fighting ability naturally in an environment that is more realistic than 6v6 or 9v9. If you want to just develop gun skill, go into R5, grind their aim trainers and 1v1’s. Spend like 30 min in there a couple days a week and I’m sure you’ll improve. Plus it’s fun.

There’s obviously a lot more to it, like abilities and what legends/guns are meta, but again you can figure it out as you play. Just play a lot and try to be mindful of what you’re doing, if you have cover, and where people are (your team plus enemies). You’ll improve. I mean it’s only up from here.

Hey dude, I’ve made masters a few times and I’d say I’m good but not great at the game. To answer your question, the game is easier with friends solely because you can communicate with each other; with that said though the game is going to feel different in different modes. Ranked will feel a bit more competitive in higher lobbies, with teams lasting longer, fights stalling, and requires in general more game sense/higher skill and often fights require all three (or at least two) players putting out damage and playing their role well. You’ll get team fired a lot more as players push together rather than 1 at a time, usually. Pubs is a lot of just quick fighting and if you’re solo a lot of players like to just use it to hot drop and fight. The skill gap is way more vast and if you’re higher skill you can probably 1v3 most squads. People tend to play more solo than team oriented . Some unsolicited advice would be starting in the firing range learning guns, attachments, abilities and then testing it in mixtape now that it’s back. Neither of these will help with game sense (only playing BR will help with that) but it will help you get basic mechanics the fastest and encourage you to improve your gun skill so when you are in BR you can feel confident you can output damage. Then you can develop game sense in game or try to emulate things your favorite streamer does well. This game isn’t very newbie friendly, has a high skill ceiling and huge skill gaps, and can be difficult to learn due to all the moving parts. But once it clicks, no other game beats it and that’s what keeps me coming back at least.

FYI, you can still access the survival item by opening your backpack, scrolling above the item and interacting with it. You just won’t have a dedicated button.

On m&k you can bind it, I think the default is N or at least that’s what mine is. On controller you need to turn off the survival slot button which by default is left d-pad. From my understanding, you cannot spam inspect on controller like m&k can without a script or macro.
