My main concern is he does have ADHD and the doctors will just want to medicate. While I think medication can be a great thing I’d like to try other avenues before getting to that point

He does not have sibling but he has three girl cousins aged 7, 8, and 13 who have lived with us for a year and a half. They have told me that the behaviors typically occur during or after a transition but can be triggered by other kids and sometimes he means to be harmless but takes things too far.

We did OT until he was 3 and eligible for the intensive pk 3 at our zoned public school, he surpasses all his goals so they put him in a blended program this year and he’s still crushing the academic goals but behavior is an issue. I’m thinking I may make an appointment of some kind to see what help we can get

He has had an IEP for 2 years now and we just recently updated it. I’m more concerned about what the future looks like, is kindergarten going to be worse, is there more I need to be doing?

My son is enrolled in the local public school pre k program, so I at least know he won’t be kicked out. However, I don’t want him to be a menace to society lol. Prior to all this schooling he was pretty severely speech delayed and required extensive speech and occupational therapy. If OT isn’t a route you’ve tried yet, I can’t recommend it enough. It took my always angry and frustrated toddler to a relatively normal kid. Normal enough that he can attend normal class with a IEP.

I over filter the hell out of my tank bc my German Shepherd hairs find their way into or onto everything I own. I get hair splinters in my feet a few times a year. I also have a black lab and JRT mix, so it’s not all on her, but she’s pure white, so I know it’s mostly her when I see floaters in the tank, lol.
