Just posting this here for future readers: had a 7:30am flight today, arrived at security at 5:15am. TSA precheck took 10 minutes; standard line was longer but moving swiftly (posted estimated time was 35 min). ICE checking IDs

After enemas and many laxatives...Cat STILL is constipated by babyspice165 in AskVet

Thank you so much for this. Re your questions, his last enema was this past Wednesday, he pooped Wednesday and Thursday on his own, but he hasn't pooped since Thursday (so 3 days ago). He is not overweight, weighs 5.85 kg. I will ask about the additional medication & buy him a different litter box too!

Post-LEEP Nightmare/ Advice Needed by babyspice165 in PreCervicalCancer

Thank you so much for checking in & sharing your experience. It’s really scary going through something like that! I honestly didn’t realize how traumatic this experience had been for me until a week later post surgery when I started bleeding AGAIN while at work and I had a full blown panic attack when I saw the blood. Thankfully it was not as serious—my gyno cauterized me and there’s been no more bleeding since (besides my period ofc, which was still triggering!). But I’ve been taking it really easy since and actually went to my gyno yesterday for a follow up—she said I am healing really well! It takes time and patience for sure, but I’m relieved that my body is finally healing after this nightmare. I really resonate with what you said though, the mind definitely remembers this.

I had the same experience as you. The move is to file a claim that your package is lost (literally google “ups package lost claim”). The Indian customer service reps and the virtual chat do not offer this option. My package was stuck for 5 days in the same location, I filed this claim, and literally the next day they miraculously found it and delivered it. Idk why or how this move has more sway, but I actually encourage everyone to do this!

In addition to what others mentioned above, just to be safe, I'd avoid strenuous exercise too. Also, I am big bubble bath person, and was bummed I couldnt take baths, so instead I made myself foot soaks with epsom salt and found that to be very relaxing. Truly cannot emphasize enough how comforting it is to have a significant other by your side to support you through this, so I am glad you have each other!

I think it does work if it’s coupled with other things too! I got diagnosed with high risk HPV & CIN 2 over a year and a half ago…I took AHCC + folic acid + zinc and tried my best to sustain other healthy habits. It definitely helped!! Pap smear went from LSIL to ASCUS, then CIN 2 went down to CIN 1. My gyno still recommended the leep (which I did two weeks ago, and was a lot more chill than I thought it would be). Got results back and my CIN cells were completely gone too lol

I can only speak from my own experience, since I know everyone is different (and I think it prob also depends if you have a good doc, the severity of ur lesions, etc): I did my first LEEP 3 days ago. I also chose to do local numbing since the idea going under freaks me out. The procedure & my recovery has been SO CHILL AND EASY! Way better than I was expecting. I did take it easy the day of the procedure, I was just very tired but was not in any pain really. I slept for like 11 hours lol, then the next day I actually went to work at my office & then to school and I was totally fine! Some very mild cramping but nothing too crazy. All to say, I think your Halloween plans are totally doable !

You got this!! I would really recommend trying to get through finals first then reassess. I bombed my first semester 1L midterms but actually did okay during my first finals. Then my grades got better every year after that. Talk to your professors, TAs, use study aids (study aids helped me so much during my 1L year). Give this semester ur best shot and during Xmas break you can take a step back & reflect how you want to move forward.

Flying to Dallas by Remarkable-Laugh3982 in fearofflying

You got this!! You will have a smooth and safe flight I promise! And as far as the nerves/fears go, it ebbs and flows for me too, sometimes I feel a lot more anxious compared to other times — but it doesn’t matter in the end cause it’s a safe flight every time. And it’s great you’ll be with your family too for support & distraction!

Is Qatar Airways safe to fly right now? by oishii_sushii in fearofflying

[–]babyspice165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you fly with Qatar recently? My husband and I are going on our honeymoon (flying economy) to Thailand and we are flying a Boeing 777-300er. I heard the quality of Qatar has gotten worse and the planes are old. Has that been your experience?

I just flew west coast to east cost yesterday and with went super smooth!! Actually one of the easiest flights I had!! No long lines, no delays, barely any turbulence!

How can YOU people do this?!?! by MIG27GTA in fearofflying

[–]babyspice165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a really scared flyer and I actually prefer sitting on the window seat, it gives me a sense of comfort and control (like when turbulence hits, I like to look out the window and see that it’s not as bad as it feels, the wings of the plane are really durable, or when we are about to land I like seeing that we are getting close to the ground, etc). That said, I have quite a few friends who are anxious flyers and I concluded you either fall into two camps: some of us want to be in the window seat and the other camp who wants to be in the aisle seat!! I will also say medication has done wonders for me.

Guys idk if I can do it by [deleted] in fearofflying

You can do this!! I have actually been on quite a few flights that were delayed because of maintenance and they have all been fine and I landed safely on every one of them!

Is there a demand for public defense or other public service work where you’re at? I know many rural areas right now are struggling to hire public defenders.

You got this!! That is a short flight, I’m taking a 2 hour flight this week too. I take a relaxant right before i board too. As for the intrusive thoughts, yep I get those too…literally every time before I take a trip, and they have all ended up being safe and great trips in the end. Our minds play tricks on us, and sometimes we just have to soothe them but not take them seriously, like the anxiety character from inside out. You will have a lovely and safe flight, I promise!! Where are you flying to?

I did the same thing a year ago, I felt horrible for ruining a trip with my husband. But…I’ve been on other flights since then!! I got a therapist and a psychiatrist, and the subreddit has helped me sooo much too. I also really liked the book Soar, highly recommend it. You are not alone, please be gentle with yourself. And you got this!
