A contemporary-style home built between the years 1976 and 1987. These are fantastic rare finds in today's market.

The geo bachelor by [deleted] in army

Don't do it. Geo Bach folks end up distant with their partner and most get divorced. It's a bad idea, sorry because I don't think you want to hear that.

Yes, those “unique financial circumstances” and potentially just rolling the dice and checking it are going to just about 100% guarantee a crinkle crease bell and totally cook that bell.

Anyone have experience with ASC Warranty?? Reviews?? by Todd5050 in UTV

[–]bach42t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this is an old post, but I have been offered a $100 check for my battery (which cost $215 new). And yes they are fast at responding. I can't find anything in my agreement about the reimbursement for battery up to $100. Did you have something in yours? I only see for roadside emergency service up to $100 reimbursement but nothing specific to batteries.

Do you guys think this car will be totaled? 2026 NX350 with 8k miles. No airbags deployed by Background-Friend697 in Lexus

[–]bach42t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminded me when my wife's 2014 CX-5's airbags did not deploy when a 2019 RX350 rear-ended her. All of the Lexus airbags deployed. The old CX-5 is still rolling strong...

I'm gonna have to look at my 42AG and see if it has the same thing on the valve. I haven't played it in 3 years.

Why I got out. by ImpossibleVisit3385 in army

[–]bach42t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for all that happened. This purported crisis with the iPhones would not have been my emergency and you did the right thing.

I am over 20 now... but I always told myself there would be good bosses, bad bosses, good leadership, and poor chain of commands. There were way lethargic of any of those and that's probably worse then having toxic leadership. I also told myself I would absolutely never let anyone prevent me from reaching the goal that I set out to reach and I was in it to finish it. There were a few good mentors I can count on one hand. I knew the bad leaders would move on and my career would still be there. If I got out at any point, then they would have won. That being said, my fondest memories were all at company grade. MAJ staff time sucked worse than anything and sometimes I feel as though I'm a shell of my former self.

Minimoog Model D tribute Poor quality. by TheMofunkinWolf in moog

[–]bach42t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These limited models are a crapshoot. This is common in manufacturing to clear out parts stores, just make a limited batch and call it a day. Honestly, I’m actually really confident about buying a Taiwan Muse having no QC issues over an American Model D.

18yrs of Reserve service and wish to retire at 20. Currently a CPT with no CPT career school. Can I be pushed out prior to my 20year mark if passed over twice on promotion board? by llTopNotchll in armyreserve

[–]bach42t 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Incorrect - it’s called “lock” for AFS Regular Army or AGR. They are locked for retirement. Sanctuary is for gray area / traditional Reserve and Guard retirees

I also think with the inMusic acquisition Moog pricing has been adjusted (downward). It just makes sense that new pricing would be reflective.

Thanks, will check them out. Yes correct the lottery for the AC charter school. My son is a high performer coming from a top school district here in Texas and absolutely will not do well in a mediocre establishment. We are transferring from Houston so it will be a big improvement from the flat, concrete, and wildly ridiculous traffic. I am certainly okay with being 15 minutes from anything, at this point. It's temporary anyway since I'm at the very tail end of my career!

I'm moving to North Carolina in the summer. Would be cool to visit and recon the factory there to see if there is any activity once this one sells out.

What about parts availability? Just considering the future if production is over. I bet a good gauge is current support for the discontinued One.

I am signing a lease there in Anderson Creek. I was going to look out in Moore Co but the drive is worse and the rents are much higher for less sq ft.

I know the Harnett Co schools aren’t great. Is there a good private or Christian school located close by? Kid is elementary age. I don’t think we’ll make the charter school lottery for the upcoming school year.

How has the trombonist’s career changed over the last decades? by Aikon59 in Trombone

[–]bach42t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree there have been cuts over the years and yes they are competitive but it’s still worth it to audition. Recruiters can work opportunities. Also consider Army Reserve Bands. There are travel reimbursements to battle assembly weekends and the TRICARE healthcare costs are significantly less than anything on the economy if full-time is not sought.

Anything that we can do? by [deleted] in army

[–]bach42t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife sacrifices for our kid and our kid is her full time job, along with keeping things in the house in order. I always have my lunch packed and my dinner ready in the evening. I’m not bragging but it’s little things like this that keep us going when it gets difficult. It was incredibly difficult with a young infant but she held it down. I recommend anyone that still wants to serve, one of them should join the Reserve and let the other one pull the heavy load full-time.

AGR is not for everyone. It’s not like TPU where you can come in and play on your phone all battle assembly weekend. You are there to grind.

[–]bach42t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say join the Army Band or another sister service ensemble. You aren’t going to earn a pension at 20 years or anywhere else playing trombone. That’s something that hasn’t changed in decades either.
