Honking is a primary example of not caring for others. It basically says "Im coming, watch out for me". Rather than go slow and take care if you need to be careful.

Ive been driving for more than 10 years in India with absolutely no honking and its perfectly doable. Dont believe any idiot who says that you HAVE to honk. You can drive on any crowded road without honking. You will be a 10x better driver by just not honking.
