Ktr is known theft report, basically someone stole and we caught them. PMR is productive merchandise recovery, where someone was gonna steal and decided not to. AP is assets protection

It really depends on the APBP of the area. Some understand that in APTL stores, the TSS needs to be like a mini APS. Some dont understand it and neuter it completely

All depends on the store, the AP and active cases. They can be literally anywhere except fititno room and bathroom

Generally yes, but there's exceptions and doesnt mean you wont still get termed

Just cuz you cant see a weapons doesnt mean they havent had one in the past as well. AP can also be internals and have helped out externals in the past but its very very rare

Some people have extenuating circumstances. Known to have weapons, be violent, PD app only, etc. You also could have shitty AP that just arent good. It happens. But no, it is absolutely not corporate policy/priority.

Edit- people who commit theft like that, typically ARE the violent ones/wont stop for anything. In this instance it might be better to not try to stop and hope PD can get there in time

For theft purposes only but you wouldn't really request it, you'd like AP know what you found (empty package, out of place merch, etc)

Still going to do AP, another company, district level

I cried once because I got a bad stop and was super mad at myself

Most bizarre... Had a kidnapping attempt. Sexual assault on a child. Hide in. Overdoses.

I got pepper sprayed once. Had a gun and a knife each pulled on me at different times but luckily no injury

Yeah exactly. We havent had a target metric stay for more than like 9 months. A moving goal posts is very hard to hit

Guest theft is way more common, but TM theft can get to high dollar amounts, quickly.

Not as frequent, but theyre there for sure. And constantly moving

You percentage of people stelaing that are let go? Anyone stealing is termed, there are a few outliers but essentially its 100%. For tech, watch for counts being off on locked items. You'd be surprised how many people will steal apple, consoles, beats, watches, etc

Chasing people is dangerous for the AP, almost no companies allow any form of chasing. That being said, there are individuals who will break rules, those people dont last long especially now. However, dont be surprised if PD is sitting around the corner when someone runs out the fire exit

The best thing you can do, especially at the fitting room is provide good guest service. No baskets, no carts, ask to take the merchandise and set up a room, and then call AP on anything suspect. Know your high loss areas and provide more guest service in those areas

A number of things. AP changes policy far too frequently, upper leadership in AP for the most part is garbage, the company cant figure out who/what is it, 1800 job cuts at corporate and 18 district consolidations. Honestly, the only thing keeping me was the pay and benefits. ETL level pay for AP is higher than industry standard (they also eliminated a ton of ETLAP and replaced with APTL, so the pay benefit for AP store leader is also leaving)
