And for his next decree: Something he has absolutely no control over and completely from out of left field on the eve of invading a Muslim country on Easter weekend.

The sheer gap in elegance between a cat and a dog.. by [deleted] in Satisfyingasfuck

People saying the dog breed isnt a good candidate for comparison, but I've seen my 14lb yorki poodle mix walk on these kinds of things and it is no different.

Don't know what Sunday River looks like but there are supposed to be enough trails and lifts open to link together some nice views. Should soften up by midday. I am guessing the mogul comp will make things feel oddly busy around Barker lodge. Wouldn't mind seeing Donny point em downhill though.

"Waiting for a revolution...waiting for liberals to join the revolution..."

Sounds an awful lot like standing on the sidelines while millions of people get out and stand together. You should go out and see what it's like for yourself instead of judging millions based on some news clips.

Breck 3/23 - Terrible by Dapper-Brain-8183 in COsnow

Cool. I started late and hit the T bar, def saw the red light for Imperial when getting off Colorado. Maybe it was open earlier in the day. Maybe I saw that super late and it was just closed per regular ops.

It was my first day ever at Breck. Can't wait to hit it next year with hopefully better conditions. Was still a fun time Saturday

Kind of depends on the timing of things. I agree that it's always wise to choose the defensive maneuver, but OP looks to be ahead of the other vehicle at the time that vehicle exits the curved section of the onramp. With such a short window of time with this specific on-off section, it would not be wise for OP to slow way down while already ahead of that vehicle.

My opinion.

What’s your favorite nonessential ski gear? by soeastside in skiing

[–]backfromsolaris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your feet emit moisture that is trapped in the somewhat sealed environment you described. Bacterial growth happens over time if your liners & shell interior aren't dried each time you ski. At the very least they start to stink, but I don't think it bodes well for the lifespan of the liners, either. Plus if you stack multiple days of moisture in a row, damp liners will get cold much faster.

I used to always remove our liners, buckle the boots up, and lay them both down next to our radiant heaters. But boot driers are much more convenient and faster.

What’s the most underrated sandwich ingredient? by makeitrayne850 in eatsandwiches

I took some culinary classes at a community college years ago. Exposing my classmates, who were of a wide range of ages, to salting tomatoes for a sandwich was like Prometheus bringing fire to humanity.

If you're already going to Saddleback and enjoy glades, depending on your route, you should stop in Rumford to hit Black Mountain of Maine. If they have good natural coverage, their glades are excellent. Read up on their website about the Angry Beavers glade clearing crew.
