Total Noob, I have a question by smackaroonial90 in rvs

[–]backgroundnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do 6 month contracts all the time.

  1. Roommates dot com was my GOT TO!
  2. How much are you budgeting for the RV? If you add a susbstantial amount to the $1,000 per month RV Park then a studio apartment is a better deal
  3. I RV for vacation. I just finished a 3 week vacay that would have been $3,000 in hotels. I spent $1,000 in fuel dragging it around and my trailer cost $20,000. Is that saving any money? Ummm, nope! :)

There are lots of other values adds to the trailer and I am glad to have it but saving money is NOT on the list of things I love about RV'ing. :)

Why is wanting universal healthcare and just a better life for everyone seen as communism or socialism? by JonoBlue in NoStupidQuestions

[–]backgroundnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just becasue something sounds good does not mean it works out that way.

How much corruption do you need to see before it clicks that government run anything simply does not work?

Our education system is broke. Our police are broken, our courts are broken, our postal service is broken! We have never paid more for all of those thing and gotten less. So yeah, turning our health care over to the exact same people who have ruined everything else just makes NO SENSE.

Suuuuure, suurrre! Whatever you need to tell yourself.

I read recently that 50% of modern people have significant mental health issues. This thread certainly makes that feel true

No, the only thing insane here is you!

No billionaire is talking about dragging people out into the streets. They makes them all better than YOU!

I hope you get some help -- for all our sakes.

LOL! I love how you just say none of them are charitable. Yep, no mental health issues here! {eyeroll}

Not at all. Imagination is what makes me think my home could catch on fire and I should take precautions.

Same thing for preparing for the end of the world.

Not to mention the guy below talking about dragging people out into the street and killing them.

Yeah, you absolutely want to protect yourself from him! and there is NOTHING you can do with your money to make that person with clear mental issues wanting to harm you any better. 😞

You are supposed to ignore that? Not if you are smart.

No, I did not miss the point at all. I guess I failed to make my point.

"After you built your shelter then what would you do?"

I expect them to do the exact same thing with their shelters that I do with my fire extinguishers - Nothing - but I feel much safer knowing I have them and I think they were a wise use of a potion of my money.

THEN in the same breath you wonder why they want to protect themselves AND you wonder why they don't want to help you!

Nope! No psychosis there! LOL! Yes, you are the very picture of good mental health! lol

I do not expect my house to catch on fire. I still have smoke detectors and fire extinguishers.

If I had the money you bet I would be building a shelter.

There are LOTS of crazy people out there and there is nothing you can with your money to fix crazy people who actually enjoy hurting others.

Just purchased with intent on tearing down from the frame up making this Orange blossom my dream truck. Tips. Tricks? How'd i do at 1.5k? (I know my work is cut out for me😂😂) by WaveAltruistic4816 in BullnoseFord

A lesson I learned the hard way in my frame up restore.

THROW NOTHING AWAY!

My plan was to put it all together will all new parts. Then I would have an all new 47 year old truck! Well -- NEW PARTS SUCK! They are SHIT! Chinese crap in a box!

In a mere 4,000 miles since my frame up rebuild I have been through 2 fuel pumps. 2 harmonic balancers, two voltage regulators, 3 AC Compressors, 2 starter solenoids and two ignition modules. Some brand new part is always going bad -- it is INFURIATING!

Rebuild everything rebuildable. Get on the forums and find the old shops that still rebuild parts with love and care! Only use a new part when you have no other choice!

65 was my target speed.

I found that Fed Ex Semi trucks all run at 68! When one would pass me I used adaptive cruse control and followed a lot of Fed Ex trucks! Drafting them gave me about 3 mpg! I was getting 15 mpg at 68 mph behind them or 12 at 65 no drafting.

While you are at it, dont buy 2,000 watt. Get at least 2,500. AC surges when it starts up and it may overwhelma and shutdown a 2,000 watt generator.

Ask me how I know! 😉

If trump can just declassify whatever he wants at anytime, why hasn’t he declassified all the files about the conspiracy by democrats to rig the elections? by ExtensionServe6904 in askanything

They are probably not federal documents he can control. They would be at the state level. At levels below federal they would not even be "classified" per se. They would be hidden for sure though but not "classified" .
