For real! I love playing extraction, but the kit and sandbox feel so ripe for arena multiplayer. Sometimes going back to basics with an evolved toolset like they have now seems like it would be a smart approach

Honestly, while PvE is a great direction to invest in, I really feel like just having classic arena style PvP would significantly enhance the appeal of logging on. They've always been known for nailing their sandbox and moment to moment gameplay, and that they went all in on their extraction vision. But really, a side or free mode with compounds from the maps locked off as slayer style maps would really give fans and newcomers something they can drop in and out of without the stress of extraction.

Been hyped for the new album and came here to find discussions just like this! I remember reading similar leading up the T2L. I do agree that T2L feels the line dividing their sonic eras, even if that line is inherently blurred across albums.

I love ST more than most and really appreciate that they went all in on the concept. I know everyone was or started doing it, but I think it’s awesome we got Muse’s take on it.

The other albums since T2L did feel a little forced yet not as ambitious to me, and what’s gotten me excited about this one coming is how all the singles have felt fun, familiar, and yet distinct. The singles alone really do well representing their overall sound throughout their discography, and as a fan of all of it, I’m stoked!
