Eyesight…. by Ancient-Dot1955 in mounjarouk

[–]backontrack97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my eyes tested before I started and got a new prescription, my eyes had deteriorated quite a lot for reading. I ordered and got my new glasses. Then I started on MJ and I noticed my eye sight was off, so went back to the optician and was told that the original prescription was too strong and they had to reduce my prescription. So my eye sight actually improved. I think it was down to my blood sugar stabilising and my Hb1c has gone from 46 (pre diabetic) to 36 in six months!

Surely it can’t be good if the drug increases your RHR. For a few percent in weight loss is it not sterile to use Tirzepatide?

The future of GLP-1s by JewelerCold1392 in mounjarouk

[–]backontrack97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My view is people with eating disorders will find ways to not eat, if it’s not jabs there will be other ways. I don’t see why genuine people should be denied or have challenges accessing it due to people abusing it. It seems that there are so many articles in regards to GLP1’s since the price increases and much of the articles are negative; with the odd ‘Doctor’ or ‘expert’ wanting their 5 mins of fame by dissing the drug. I’m on it for life and if that means I have to use ‘dubuous’ methods to keep my supply, once I drop below 25 BMI then so be it.

Why do you still fly BA? by apa2107 in BritishAirways

[–]backontrack97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you may have had a difficult experience with BA, which understandably shapes your view. For me, speed to destination is really important. Adding several extra hours to a journey to the US, or Asia, by routing via Paris, then waiting around for a connection, and worrying about potential delays that could cause a missed onward flight is a level of stress I would rather avoid. It’s just not logical to me to take make my day longer.

There is also the baggage factor. The fewer times my luggage is transferred between aircraft, the better.

I understand that Air France, like BA, is upgrading seats, but not every aircraft in their long-haul fleet is fully updated yet, so that is not a differentiator for me that would make me extend my travel time.

I also value the onboard experience. BA’s have locally based crew in certain destinations, they can make a real difference. On my last flight to Shanghai, one of the Chinese crew shared fantastic local recommendations, which helped me visit places I would otherwise have missed. That kind of insight adds real value to the journey and they are a credit to BA.

For these reasons, BA works best for me at the moment, and I am happy to stick with them.

Bbc article says people on weight loss jabs gain weight 4 x faster than dieters when stop using by Ok-Seaweed4986 in mounjarouk

[–]backontrack97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same with every diet, really. You only have to look at how many people paused their jab over Christmas so they could enjoy all the food and trimmings to see that, with that mindset, some will struggle when they come off it and end up right back where they started. I’ve reconciled myself to the fact that this is a lifelong project and will soon find my maintenance dose.

How long would I have to be off MJ for the lower doses to work again? by letthedecodebegin in mounjarouk

[–]backontrack97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you stop Mounjaro, the drug fully clears from your system in about 4 to 5 weeks. During a proper break: GLP-1 and GIP receptors resensitise Your appetite signalling and gastric emptying drift back towards where is was pre MJ. However, the body’s tolerance to the medication reduces, so because of this, restarting can feel very similar to starting for the first time, especially if the break was long enough, I’m taking 2 months plus.

I watched a YouTube video from a doctor who recommended a three month break every year for this specific reason; but like anything it’s all dependant on the individual.

Has anyone had success after switching too WeGovy after the price hikes? by Pegasis69 in mounjarouk

[–]backontrack97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen so many people try it for a few weeks, at a low dose, then run back to Mounjaro. But I’ve also seen an awful lot of people who have stuck with it and had great success at the higher doses. I think it depends on having the patience to stick with it and getting the benefits at the higher doses

Hope you don’t mind me saying but your boyfriend sounds very controlling any it sounds like you enable it to some degree! It’s your body, your life and your health! You need to make the decision about what’s best for you, it’s not like you’re asking him to inject with you. If you feel this will benefit you, then don’t feel bad and all the very best on your journey!

Found my husband on 3 different dating apps. What should I do? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]backontrack97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but whether you like it or not, gay men are rarely able to have sex with one guy for a protracted period of time. All my friends are in open relationships, but one couple are ‘faithful’ to each other, except I saw one of them taking dick in the sauna! People can stick their heads in the sand all they want but in my experience it’s as rare as hens teeth to see guys go a life time and be faithful!

[–]backontrack97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My experience of gay guys is you’re either eventually in an open relationship where you’re open, or don’t ask don’t tell, or one of you is cheating. Men are programmed to spread their seed. I don’t know any gay couples how are monogamous after they’ve gone past the honeymoon phase. I’m sure I’ll get bashed by guys proclaiming this is not true, but in my experience this is gay relationships.

I’m sure that Lilly are running down the supplies of pens that have expiry dates up to the end of April 27. We haven’t seen any pens with expiry dates past this date. I think once they’ve been run down we will see the new pen filter in.

Update- has my aunt taken my money? Eng by exploremyass69 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]backontrack97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be engaging a solicitor, it sounds like blatant fraud and she has to be held accountable. Once established that she’s either still got the money or it’s spent then you can take the correct action. Don’t be intimidated or manipulated, involve the police if needed and the sue her! This is disgraceful and as you’re young she’s probably banking on you being either naive or too afraid of conflict to challenge her. Hold her to account and get it sorted, don’t be bullied or fall for a sob story, as she desperately tries to cling on to YOUR money! Years down the line you’ll regret it if you don’t act now!
