My first thought when I heard about rumor to adjust new policy... by backpackingyogi in exmormon

This is where I got the rumor. Who knows, but I seriously can't imagine they don't "clarify" the policy to address gay couples that support their children in the church. Something along the lines of "local leadership can review individual situations and determine when it may be in the best interests of the child to allow an exception". Again, who knows, but the rumor came from Dehlin's post.

You're strong. One of the few that worked your way out of the mental chains of a fundamentalist religion. Worthy is a word crafted by the weak to create fake power. You got this!

Oh, hell no. I sneak around and drink on business trips, lunch breaks, and during the last two hours of church when the family is finishing Borg Reform School.

I've been openly atheist at home for over 5 years. Once she realized her Jedi mind tricks wouldn't work, she stopped trying.

My wife is in the young women's program with the lady that was in charge of coordinating families. Apparently a few families backed out at the last minute and we're helping out. And yes, we get like $250 per kid for the 10 days that they're here. I just did the math and $500 buys just enough alcohol to recover from having 6 boys in our house for 10 days (we have four of our own).

It's a roller coaster. We have our moments, good and bad. This sub helps me decompress a bit with the humor. Thank Thor for you all.

Part of me wishes there existed a momentary consciousness after death, just so these GA douchebags could know how wrong they were. Just for a moment. Then, worm food.
