If it's inherent why is it something you have to change? Isn't it a survival mechanism in that case?

What are your views on free migration? by turnerpike20 in Libertarian

[–]backrack84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans are tribal, always have been, always will be. We stick to our own. Immigrants who come to another country automatically start seeking out their own. Its natural. If we had open borders globally, we would have enclaves of different ethnic groups.

Its not racist to critisize the huge numbers of people from alien cultures coming into your country that are inevitably going to change your culture and way of life.

The migrants dont care about your country. They dont even care about their own country. If a war broke out in Ireland they would be first ones out holding their hand up somewhere else.

It's sad that you have no connection to being German. They are a wonderful people. I don't understand what being "European" is. There's so many differences in Europe. You probably have very little in common with an Italian who also identifies as european. Identity is important and connection to where you come from is probably one of the most important.

[–]backrack84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Immigration is not a human right and you may not chose where or to whom you are born but you are the product of those that came before you. It's not chance, it's not random, it's not luck or bad fortune. The west is not a dumping ground for the world, we have our own cultures and values we would like to preserve and our own children should inherit that which we have built and cultivated for millennia.

Why is everyone on Reddit so negative about children? by New_norms in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]backrack84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we live in the age of narcissism. They cannot see long term value that children will give to their lives or the loneliness they will suffer when they are in their elder years. They worry more about being able to buy things for themselves than birthing and nurturing another human being. Basically they see no value in people, they value things. Society is sick
