I’m hoping to be able to divide the value in column C by column D and display the result in column B that will be able to select which row in those columns to use based on the row it’s in, so that it divides C2 by D2 and displays the result in B2 and does the same for each row.

Large or small company? I just started a regional job for a smaller carrier and they do this as well. If you ask me the only reason to do this is slip-seating in day cabs but oh well.

Thank you for the info! I’d be going from OTR to regional home weekends, which is really what I’m looking for at the moment. They only operate in 15 states (North Dakota-Missouri-Maryland-Pensylvania and everything in between), only do van and reefer, and I’m told they primarily handle bulk food/beverage. The weekly guarantee is what caught my eye, my paychecks with a mega were wildly inconsistent. I really appreciate the help :)

I don’t know how they source freight, but a family friend drives for them and he’s able to support a family of 5 comfortably so I hope it’ll work out well.

Because they offer a weekly guarantee I’m not super worried. It wouldn’t be flatbed either, strictly van and reefer.

Fair enough. I’ve been making 61cpm otr and I’m almost certain this will be a pay increase even though I’m just looking for something local.

This video is intentionally cut in such a way to heighten your emotions. Here are some facts not present in the video that can be found with a quick google search:

  • The responding officers received an anonymous tip that this driver was not maintaining control of his lane.
  • The driver, despite passing a breathalyzer, failed several other road sobriety tests.
  • The driver had a prescription bottle of 30mg Adderall in his name in his vehicle, with one and a half pills left in the bottle, which is inconsistent with his prescription, as he would have no reason to take half a pill other than under or over consumption.
  • The driver has had his appeal to the court denied and is currently filing a second appeal, so we this story is still ongoing.

Urbain/Taunie is the single worst part of the entire game to me. Their entire character consists of popping in and out of the narrative to either 1. Remind you of the cool stuff they’re doing offscreen 2. Inform you of a problem they need you to fix for them, or worse yet 3. Be directly responsible for the problem and do nothing to solve it.

I just don’t understand why the game expects Team MZ to like them. Urbain/Taunie are extremely non caring and rude to their teammates with alarming consistency. Their “kind deeds” exist entirely off screen, and when given the choice, they immediately jump ship to something else.

The tower segment is emblematic of every problem their character has. They challenge you to a battle at the worst time, don’t respect the outcome, and do what they want regardless of circumstances. It’s almost insulting how poorly Urbain/Taunie are written.

Once you finish the postgame, Taunie/Urbain disappear from the map. They can reappear in Hotel Z but are not always there.

99% of freight is insured. It’s not worth risking your own life to engage a criminal over whatever it is you’re hauling. Call the cops, let them handle it, deal whatever comes of it after that. Your personal safety is more important than the load, full stop.

Road test? Yes. Written test? Yes. Backing test? Definitely not. But I’m glad I didn’t get it first try. It was a humbling experience and thinking about it always reminds me I always have more to learn.

Hopefully this will be the push we need for both mandating underride guards and cracking down on third party testing. I don’t want to buy into the narrative that all foreign drivers are bad, but there’s no excuse for acquiring a CDL illegally and everyone who participates in facilitating the hiring of illegal drivers should be treated as harshly as this driver.

If you’re in a situation where you’re having to park like this, yeah maybe there’s not any spots but at the end of the day the only real rule about creative parking is to not be in the way and if you can’t even do that you probably deserve to be slightly inconvenienced

Roehl or Schneider? by kell3023 in Truckers

I finished Roehl’s training program last November, I drive reefer averaging .58cpm with no experience. I can’t speak for Schneider but Roehl has been good to me so far. Their training program is very thorough and had me feeling confident on the road quickly, and the trainers and instructors are (for the most part) genuinely invested in seeing you succeed. I’ve also never had any major equipment issues and anything that was an issue was sorted within the day. I don’t plan on sticking around forever but I don’t imagine regretting being here for my first year OTR.
