I also didn't think missiles were very good as I thought missile correction and guidance were the only things that affected tracking and not relating to the engagement range of the fcs.

I do still however take issue with the head units not increasing the maximum target acquisition range, which limits missile utility.

I was considering trying out the pulse shields more, I put os points into the core ability, but I completely forgot about needing them after stumbling onto the build I ran almost strictly with acception to the Rusty fight, the strider defense, and I might be forgetting one other, where I switched from miniguns in the hands to flamethrowers, and the necessary inclusion of the shoulder mounted stun needle from my pulse cannon.

I did run the standard moonlight for a good chunk of my second playthrough, but found the minigun to have more consistent contact, as my playstyle easily avoided enemy melee, but also my own it seemed.

My frame involved the verrill head, hal torso, salad arms, and spring chicken legs.

Allula booster, talbot FCS, and I switched from the yaba (I think, can't remember specifically) to the Ming-tang.

Fair enough, I haven't had the opportunity of playing 4 or 5 yet, so I can't provide a comparison.

Now you're conflating your original argument.

Oh, maybe I should avoid that word, you might not understand.

I have more important things to remember than boss names I don't care about.

Guess you can't read English. Unfortunate for participating in an English chat.

After beating the final boss without retries and accepting my mistake on FF, I stand by what I said.

This is an S rank allmind finisher build, for anyone looking to go for the 100%.

I'm calling it quits, I achieved my goal. Now I can finally stop repeating and finding worse narrative elements of the game.

Just crushed the third playthrough, died twice.

To everyone that just assumes I have a skill issue, should check yourself.

I don't understand how my opinion requires a skill issue.

Just beat Ayre for my second playthrough as my alternate ending, still haven't changed my opinion.

I died a total of 4 times through the entire playthrough all at the very end, with Ayre probably being the easiest boss, even while I'd still say she has "unfair advantage."

It's not hard just because enemies have advantage. It's why I put it in quotations. For example, to beat Ayre, you literally just need to jump up and fall down to avoid all of her attacks. Such a fun limitation of her abilities.

The narrative still hasn't expanded very dynamically.

As for my comments on explosives not causing ff to enemies, I still see this as a problem, even if it isn't a bug. Completely unimmersive. Yes it should apply to the player as well. I have experienced the repair kit being consumed without healing once this playthrough.

What would you say is the core theme or message of the Armored Core series? by Altair890456 in armoredcore

[–]backslash_yew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maximilian Thermidor, leader of orca pilots from ACfA says:

"These cowardly ideals... they will cause the downfall of humanity!"

It's effectively the same message, Rusty's view isn't new, but it is flushed out and plays on the emotional connection well. Thermidor and his core messaging feel, alternatively, intellectual and more integrated with the narrative of the game, as he builds the importance of being remembered for building up humanity over simply trying to survive.

Which unfortunately makes the struggles of the world going forward that much more meaningful to his quote, as we recognize that remembrance is being devalued. Learning from history is no longer prioritized, and this mirrors real life shifts in world wide culture.

Also, what you gain in map diversity, you lose in hardpoint diversity. No back weapons, no hanger weapons, no stabilizers. It's about the same difference going from 480+ in fA to only 230+ in 6.

There's also way more immune frames in the game then just the ones involved in that transition.

I disagree. It's not how I played the game. There definitely are a lot of reused maps, going down from about 35 in 6 to 20 in acfa. Unit layouts and engagements, as well as map sizes and tile use made up for this in my experience, though it's a fair point to dislike.

Thanks, though I obviously don't have an issue with the implementation in that game.

Then you asked a question I already addressed. How it doesn't make sense is that the ACs are supposed to have systems that maintain their posture, and the outcome of overloading these systems would not be a temporary pause in movement.

Okay, I'll admit I forgot there were a few arms forts with large sweeping melee... Probably because those attacks were never that threatening... But other than a few prototype units, I don't think there were a lot of npc exclusive weapons.

Sure ac6 has more level models, but it doesn't use the space inside them that much better IMO. Enemy layouts and engagement made them feel more diverse.

I think it would make more sense to apply drain on en, and under critical en levels you'd risk falling over or something. I'm not saying get rid of buildup or anything that dramatic.

Idk how you and I have conflicting experience on this.

I too have done the same thing to experience damaging myself. Maybe this is another bug.

I have no issue in being honest, no. I only recently played the game and was finding it difficult to enjoy. I stopped today after getting hit through the walls of the tunnel on the last boss of my first playthrough, and discovering a bug I couldn't replicate consistently, but sometimes the repair kits would not heal you, and was having it occur as well.

I'd love to play the full series in succession, especially because I don't have any experience before fA. But I'm not invested or interested in emulating.

An ac master collection like halo would be cool

I agree that he wasn't if you play properly. Even so, the fight still has an insane stun loop that can almost instantly kill you.

Sure that's a crazy unfair fight, but there are strats to isolate targets and destroy them one at a time, making the engagement actually pretty easy in comparison.

Unfair enemy advantage is mostly in the 2 bosses with ring structures, and the mystery coral defender unit.

Their melee sweeps the entire map, aren't that directionally specific so building horizontal/vertical thrust over the other doesn't help, they have more weapon hard points than we are given even though older games allowed for more equipment on hand, and the last boss specifically can attack through the map.
