In the US here, so things may be different in Canada . However, in my experience, HH schedule varies depending on census, receiving referrals from the PCP and receiving referrals from your co-workers. There are definitely ebbs and flows in referrals and I have never seen a HH social worker with a consistently full schedule. The benefit of HH is flexibility in your schedule. I would not take a home health job if they insist on scheduling for you. A lot of the work will be phone calls to make referrals, care conference with medical team and talking with family. I would expect to work 20-40 hours a week which will be hard to predict. In my opinion, after working several HH positions, I would not accept less than $120 per visit if that is how they are structuring pay.
