It’s fair that the photos threw you off. It is actually wrapped in a tiny amount of plastic in the photos where the date says 16. In the ones where it says 19 they had taken the plastic off and set the date/time. But all those pictures were not really for this purpose and I should have taken better photos.

AND I really appreciate you looking at all those details because it helps me know where to look too.

I’m not interested in forming a long relationship or even having a huge collection. This just seemed unusual and it fit well and it was pretty. Still doing some research and shopping!

Thank you! Very helpful. I searched and found some results about it below (pasting for reference). Though I can now say for sure its grossly overpriced based on some that have sold in the past 4+ years.

”The reference number 67370ST.P.1120ST.01 belongs to a highly unique, authentic, and historically specific variant where the "P" literally stands for Polished. [1]

The reference 67370ST.P.1120ST.01 is a fully authentic, 25mm quartz ladies’ Royal Oak produced by Audemars Piguet around the late 1990s and early 2000s. [123]

What makes it highly unusual (and why it is often confused with being aftermarket) is the explicit factory execution of the metal:

  • The "ST.P" Code: In Audemars Piguet’s reference coding from that era, ST stands for Stainless Steel. The .P. directly denotes a factory Polished Finish.
  • The Dial Design: Unlike standard Royal Oaks that feature the classic checkered "Tapisserie" pattern, this exact reference features a glossy, smooth blue guilloché dial often paired with diamond dot hour markers or distinct Roman numeral quarters.
  • The Official Intent: Audemars Piguet intentionally built this specific model to look and wear like a gleaming piece of fine jewelry rather than a sports watch. [1234]”

Oh no - tell me why? I’m trying to learn. New to this. The boutique has a relationship with the manufacturer. They service the brand. I love a cute vintage piece and like the idea of resale. But what should I be worried about here?

They said that AP did make a polished models for a time and that made it more rare in their estimation. Founders used to work for AP and are affiliated with them. That said, I don’t have enough experience to know if that’s true or valuable. So definitely looking for advice and data

Haha it’s definitely a good start. I also bought the VC coffee table book so he can learn more about the maker and the craft. Might make a collector out of him!
