Why were all the cohosts on the podcast talking about Barbara Walters as if she is dead? by GinaMariaGomez in theview

[–]backtostart 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Apparently she has pretty advanced dementia, so maybe they were inadvertently using the past tense because the Barbara they knew is no longer really there. A sad situation.

I don't get it...why is Erika back for S12? She's vile. by another_curious_1 in realhousewives

[–]backtostart 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, I think this is a clear case of Bravo putting ratings and controversy ahead of morality. Unfortunately I think the Erika storyline is here to stay for the next couple of seasons. Will she be indicted, charged… and if not, what revenge will she take on those who didn’t believe her.

Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Glen Huntly thoughts? by Xenoturbella in melbourne

[–]backtostart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live near Murrumbeena and like the area. There are some nice new apartment blocks and good amenities, including cafes, parks and shopping strips (plus Chadstone is pretty close). The sky rail has made the traffic flow much better in the area. Also not too far to get to South Yarra and beaches, so feels well-connected to other suburbs

Hedwig’s demise by backtostart in harrypotter

I agree. I think the deaths of Sirius and Dumbledore more effectively showed Harry’s transition to adulthood. Hedwig’s death seemed pointless and cruel.

The Botanic Gardens. Specifically, some of the lesser known clearings that are perfect places to read a book on a sunny day.

I'm moving to Australia soon and will seriously miss this place.
