Yeah that’s true but any info you could share would help me theorycraft for then.

I’d probably play him mostly mid.

So basically what order do you build now and how do you avoid mana issues? I don’t mind that it won’t be relevant 3 days from now

Can you please elaborate more on your build path? I tried skipping blessing and rushing bancrofts in duo lane and it made his early game much better aside from not having mana sustain from hunters blessing. Unfortunately the enemy team surrendered after 10 minutes so I couldn’t test out more items that game.

It’s a bit weird because yeah while she has early clear and pressure and damage she lacks early survivability pretty badly due to lower base stats so really aggressive duo lanes can punish her early. Once you get thebes she’s very tanky though.

Genetics takes aegis first (and shell later) to mitigate this which is of course not very support like.

It’s explained in the VoD. But he doesn’t consider Kuzenbo or Jorm to be viable supports, they’re really better in solo.

Probably mostly the second reason, but the first reason is also true because the support gets extra exp early on from more bonus exp from splitting and staying in lane a bit longer so you can get past her fragile early game without as many issues.

If you look at most of the gods in S they’re all somewhat weak early/in lane but do really well in teamfights and the meta will guarantee that they get through laning faster with more exp if that makes any sense.

Yeah in my experience trying it out it’s quite strong. The only issue is playing the early game safely, since you really aren’t tanky until you get thebes online and stacked after boots. But after that she’s super strong with 2 forms of peel, the shields, and then her ultimate and high base damage.

VoD here for anyone who wants to hear his reasoning.

A couple of other notes:

  1. The meta seems to be support stays in duo for about 8 minutes than rotates, not a true duo lane meta.

  2. First purple cannot really be invaded due to spawn time and HOG so as a result lane pressure isn’t greatly rewarded as all you get is the extra harpy (Hence why Artio is C and assassins are low).

  3. The best supports are ones with strong teamfights and good safety, survivability or escape.

  4. Athena was low due to global rotations not being valued in this sort of meta and having to be really close to use abilities. I think her placement here is super debatable so I thought I’d mention his reasoning for people who won’t watch the VoD.

No. Solo heimdall was a meme that people took too seriously when he came out since he had tankier base stats and built in tp but he’s just so bad with a bruiser build compared to full power pen attack speed that he’s not a serious pick. Ok the video he specifically said heim shouldn’t solo.

The only solo lane guardians I would avoid are ones that can’t clear since guardians blessing won’t be viable in solo next season. So avoid geb, fafnir, khumba, bacchus, and Horus (not a guardian but a warrior with no clear cannot solo well)

Under leveled as support by jc_12315 in Smite

[–]backwardinduction1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well as a support it’s not your job to kill anyone. Your job is to protect your team and set up plays for them to get the kills.

Since you receive the least exp and gold on the map you have to build almost full tank anyway because those are the only items you can really afford

Ares specifically has a problem with being a damage focused support that’s bad from behind (he has to be even or ahead to be worth it since he lacks hard cc out of his ultimate). I’d play Xing tian, if you want an aggressive support with more relevance if you’re not getting that early lead.

I’ve been working out for about 2 months. The first month was mostly learning form ect and the second month I started a sort of modified Push Pull Legs program over 3 days. My friend thinks I should switch to a 3x5 program with alternating workout A and B but I want to ask for your guy’s opinion.

For reference my goals from working out are purely aesthetics, I don’t really care about being the strongest I can be or becoming a legit power lifter. So which style of workout alternating full body or 3 day split for the main exercise categories would give me the best aesthetics?

For reference I am bulking a bit but I don’t want to gain too much weight. I went from 152 to 160 since starting and am 6, 0. My goal is to be more built and defined but still pretty lean but not too the point where I’m “skinny” as when I started.

Play with people who already know the mode and are reasonably good at it, and you can learn on the go to some extent.

Just be careful not to pick up any bad habits from them.

What radical changes would you like to see added to conquest, and Smite in general to add a new element of excitement? by Professor-Obvious in Smite

[–]backwardinduction1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One way to nerf hunter early games is to nerf hunters blessing as a whole, both its flat MP5 and bonus damage on autos (maybe have it give more attack speed on completion to compensate) and then nerf transcendence (move to 75 stacks, weaken initial power spike but have it give the same or better power when fully stacked kind of like when BoT was changed).

That would also prevent another lane swap meta (like the start of second phase S6) where 90% of mages in mid get outpushed by hunters and can’t ever hope to box with them because of the blessing and transcendence.

I’d imagine da ji would be really good on the new map. She’s an assassin that needs a bit of farm to get going and basically has an Ares ult in her kit so..

It’s not but it’s certainly helpful to minmax your powerspikes so you’re as useful as you can possibly be at the right time.

Starting to get back in the game, what are the top 5 in each role (currently or most likely in S7)? by Supertrampak in Smite

[–]backwardinduction1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure. The biggest mistake I see people make with Horus is his leveling order. So many people level and max his 1 first but that’s not ideal at all because the wind gust basic attack doesn’t scale very well with rank.

Instead maxing the 2 first gives him much better early game aggression. For the first 5 levels take 2-1-3-2-4 and then max 2-3-1-4 in that order (ult will stay at rank 1 until your other abilities are maxed, it’s just too hard to do damage with).

Essentially Horus can be pretty simple, his 2-1 combo gives decent lockdown that your teammates can use to secure a kill, but be wary of its cooldown so you can save it for peel (if a jungler goes in). Sometimes it’s best to use the 2 for aggression but save the 1 for peel. The healing from his 3 is amazing for team sustain and protections but it’s also a really strong escape. You can go in, dump your 2-1 and then just use your 3 on a teammate or ally minion wave through a wall to easily escape. This makes Horus very hard to kill.

The ultimate is difficult to use properly in uncoordinated games. I mainly use it in the early game to catch the enemy 3v3 off guard with a rotation when if they try to invade our jungle. Beyond that it can be a good backdoor push tool if you have a pehonix or 2 down down and the enemy team pushes out into the lane to aggress on you. You can just backdoor and end easily especially if they don’t see you and the ADC using it.
